Revenge of Shinobi is great. sucks that XBLA gets the Monster World games in a $10 bundle. I want to try them, but I'm guessing they'll be in a PS+ update before too long.
Now if Sega could release Shining Force III on PSN so more people could play it with out having to track down a Sega Saturn, that would be kind of cool.

From: MartinFF7 | #021
From: ZFS | #019 8) Final Fantasy VII
Yeahhhh no need to make a remake or sequel of the game
ffs
The trouble is an HD remake would be a TON of work and a remake would too unless you put it on the 3DS and didnt actually upgrade it much from its current form. Neither of which would really be satisfying. Plus its a really bad translation- so that work needs to be redone.
Its a bigger project than it seems.

From: ZFS | #017 The screenshots of the Sega games looked good, much better than the 'Vintage' ports that are on there now.
from the little i've played, streets of rage 2 is alright. sonic 2 has a lot of clipping issues, but my nephew doesn't seem to care.

Yeah, Sonic isn't too bad, but it could be better. Golden Axe, though, is tough to play.
I would think FFVII continuing to sell well would tell them how much people still love the game, especially over every other one in the series. A remake would be a big project, but worth it. I'm surprised they haven't talked to Sony about funding it.
"One of Sony's most beloved first-party PlayStation 1 games is coming to the PS3 and PSP via ... a company other than Sony. Tomba!, the platformer starring the pink-haired caveman, will be released on the PlayStation Network soon by MonkeyPaw Games."
""Sony and MonkeyPaw have a good working relationship," MonkeyPaw CEO John Greiner told Joystiq. "I think they appreciate the titles we've brought to the Store. And they value the support we give the games. Having a plethora of Japanese content is a distinct advantage PlayStation has over Xbox. But the games still need to be brought Stateside. So our model helps Sony spread their Japanese edge and we help Japanese developers get their titles to a wider audience. Hence, Sony is willing to work with us on titles that may not have otherwise been licensed out. Support is key."
Pretty fun game overall. Puzzles are nice, level design is good, nice variety of tasks. There are some glitches here and there that can be annoying, mostly with River's AI, but nothing too bad. A patch for that stuff would be nice. The game can be pretty unforgiving, and it makes liberal use of checkpoints, so when you die to Cybermen you might have to start further back than you'd like. Got the trophy for finishing in under 300 minutes, so while it's not too short, it's not very long either.
But yeah, I had fun with it. Gonna try for platinum--Time Lord best.
