i've played about 350 hours of civ v alone

civ doesn't require any quick reflexes, though, so once you learn strategies you'll be good. there are also plenty of ways to win that don't involve fighting.

when the game first launched it had some severe loading times between turns but that got better over time, maybe that'll fix your problem.

I haven't played that much Civ V for sure. I've done somewhere around 20 overnighters with it, so maybe 200 hours-ish. I always finish a game of Civ in one night, and usually play one of the fastest settings. if I ever save a game midway through I end up never coming back to it.

if I could've made it a four dimensional graph I would have made a "f***ing annoying to fight" scale and a "how good they are online" scale. Twelve, Akuma, Oro, and the Twins would all top the annoying to fight scale, and Elena, Ibuki, Akuma, and Necro would all be higher on the online scale.

Yeah, seriously, P4 Arena needs to be out already.

I stopped playing Skullgirls because I couldn't find matches, now i just mess around with UMvC3. I have been thinking about putting some time into a SF game though!

I might try getting back into UMvC3 again. I tend to have the s***tiest time trying to get good at that game though.

My last team was Captain America, Ryu, and Frank West. I need to ditch Frank and probably Ryu.

Might go with a combination of Cap/Thor/Iron Man/Super-Skrull with Hawkeye as Anchor.

Some of the new changes seem questionable as ****.

Like giving Ky and Millia back their old normals. There is a reason they were taken out. I'm not complaining since I play both of them, but yea. Millia, Ky and ABA Changes all looking very nice. A bit concerned about the Slayer changes. Dude was already broken easy mode in Accent Core. Hoping that making 5H Slide instead of groundbounce on airhit doesn't accidently make him better.

Also Slash>Reload>AC>XX>X>1 for Character balance. Altho I Would totally take 1 over all of them for Ky. <_< Best in that game by a mile.

And Faust players (Higher then Sol in the tier list actually), and Jam players, and Potemkin players, and chipp players, and I-no players, and Bridget players, and the May players, and Anji players (These guys more then the Ky players actually 100%.), and Johnny Players (These guys love it the most.), and pretty much most people in general. Actually in terms of general opinion. Slash was the most balanced by a lot. It's just a little bit more boring then the others due to all the bull**** being removed. Which is why AC is so whacky. Because they just threw in a ton of crap.

Seriously. Jam of all people won SBO in Slash's year. Ky didn't win a single major tournament in Slash. He won several in early AC. Also Sol didn't even win smaller tournaments. Slash's balance was perfect at the top and middle. The bottom was totally awful. (4-5 useless characters and maybe 1-2 more really bad ones.)

But #R is a damn mess at the top, XX is unplayable unless your Slayer/Eddie/Millia, and AC has 2 completely worthless characters along with having a better version of Slash Ky (Testament. Lol +9 forward EXE Beast that resets OTG State) and Eddie is still running around instagibbing people off of 1-2 mistakes.

Like it's not really a debatable fact which one is the most balanced. Match up charts can't really lie. 5.5-7 across the board or 5-5 worst match up with a couple 6-4s and a 8-2. Which is worse?

hahaha. i totally forgot anji was bottom tier in every game but slash. poor guy.

jam and potemkin aren't exactly weak in the other games, so it isn't like that got godbuffed in slash. same for faust, but i can see them being less high on accent core.

bridget, i-no, and johnny are crap in AC, so i can see that to.

but may? really? she's a bottom eight character in slash. and i'd rather try to use XX anji than play any of the bottom eight in slash. i don't care what the matchup charts say, a third of the cast in slash is basically unplayable.

May is was hella good in slash... Hard to play sure, but she was not even close to bottom 8. She's somewhere firmly in the middle.

Ky, Faust, Potemkin, Sol, I-no, Johnny, Anji, Testament, Baiken, Jam I think is the top 10 for that game actually.

Sol beats Faust and Pot straight up but Faust and Potemkin have advantage on Ky which makes them better. Really not sure the order after the top 4. No one really talked about the top tiers of slash. Just the bottom tiers cause they were sad.

Robo-Ky in slash is the worst character in the series. No question. ABA had a game breaking glitch too. Order Sol was really bad. Venom was definitely crappy. Eddie Needed the same amount of comboes to kill people as everyone else did which didn't work out too great for him. Dizzy was weak-ish too.

I can't even name 8 characters in Slash who are close to weak. Like I'm sure the other 2 for this question would be Chipp and Zappa due to having weak gameplay designs but they definitely were not bad. Hell Chipp was stronger in Slash then AC actually. Not sure what he even got as buffs besides motion changes, one new move and his very meh forcebreak. And Zappa will always be bad unless they break him.


That's pretty much all the low tiers in Slash. Everyone else was like B or A tier.

Slash Chipp was probably the strongest he's ever in. Not bottom 8 by any stretch.

And AC Zappa is great! Only game he isn't terribad in.

Zappa was better in Slash. The power creep in AC did not do him any favors. IIRC they also nerfed his Triplets and reworked the sword in AC. But they buffed Roah back up to like #R levels. Zappa has mostly been the same in every game actually. It's just a matter of how strong everyone else is.

Zappa pretty much stayed consistent the entire time.

If you really want to attack Slash. The best argument is that it's kinda boring compared to AC or #R because for a lot of characters they are really close to the #R version but weaker and it's not fun playing the same character you've played before if it's the same thing but worse. Which is definitely a valid complaint.
