there has been some confusion recently about it, primarily from lib8rals, so its time we cleared it up

scenario 1) you are a candidate for the local board of commissioners. your opponent absolutely trounces you. you justify it by saying "oh, its okay that i got spanked! i was in a heavily republican district!"

That is damage control

scenario 2) you a united states citizen. you plan on voting for mitt romney. mitt romney shows gains in the polls. you post about them. you go about your day.

That is not damage control
