How do you find the time to do so much stuff?!?

You follow more weekly anime than me, and now you read all them comics. This is the reason I don't talk to you much on AIM. I'm afraid I would cut into your entertainment time!

But I think you are, and it's simply because anti-Gen votes are a thing.

Eventually you have to ask yourself why people are voting against things specifically because of you. For all my extreme ranting about junk_funk and Emolga, Emolga was eliminated two days later. People didn't keep Emolga in just because I said on multiple occasions that Emolga's continued presence was a joke.

I mean arguing about it with me and stuff is all well and good, and you make some valid points, but face the facts. You have two people in this topic, both of whom like you, flatout telling you that you can be irritating in save-my topics. You yourself admit to an anti-Gen sentiment that influences the voting. Why do you think that is? Ask yourself why that happens. Is it them? Or is it you?

Well like I said, XIII. I'll try to calm it down but it's never going to go away completely. My competitive nature is part of who I am and the two of you are essentially asking me to deny it or hide it. That could potentially cause more harm than good tbqh, as I'm prone to emotional bursts (*insert PMS joke jere*) after I've kept them surpressed for too long. I can provide an example of what I'm talking about if you'd like.

Also- now this is just an observation- it seems like even if I completely ignore the people who do this they will continue to do it long after I've stopped commenting on their behavior in the hopes that I'll give them the desired, leading to more gross results. So it's like I'm damned if I do and damned if I don't so I might as well do it.

As for your question of "why" it is others do what they do I would assume attempting to provoke some sort of reaction out of me is their way of having "fun". Sure, me actually providing a reaction for them is adding to the problem. Funnily enough, my way of fun involves discussing contests, eliminations, etc. Occasionally, I step on a few toes in the process but it's never intentional, and generally, I'm very kind to people who just lost something they were heavily supporting.

I don't see how it's okay for others to intentionally target things I like and support things I dislike just to get a "fun" reaction out of me, but when I cheer when something goes out or say an elimination is long overdue- usually in response to this sort of behavior it's going too far.

Basically what I'm getting at is it's great for others to have fun by trolling me or others, or rallying CE and PotD to vote in contests they don't give a crap about but me talking about stuff regarding a contest I do care (maybe a wee bit too much) about the "No fun allowed" signs get erected.

If I didnt watch a metric ton of anime and follow comics id actually be quite bored. As were doing this I am actually playing Mafia, Grandia, and watching Eureka.

Like whenever you go use your PS3, odds are you'll be seeing Angelo playing Gundam Extreme VS. and/or me playing Tales of Graces f, for most of the day. Then periodically Zea will go on playing Sengoku Basara 3, and then there's you who sometimes goes on using Netflix or Hulu Plus.

And occasionally Lisel or Nio will pop-up doing whatever they do. (I think it's Netflix for Lisel and SoulCalibur V for Nio)

Welp, that sums up our PS3 usage.

I was 18 when i first became a regular. I am 23, and yeah I just got engaged. I also lie a lot in mafia. My brother is like 19.

No I would never do that, but I mean like I didnt have to go through what so many b8ers and others go through where they dont know how to approach a situation or what exactly they are looking for. I dont know what I'd do if I were in ShadowHalos shoes. I would like to think Id handle it better or like a man, but I cant say that for sure. Im just glad I chose a girl who doesnt have that in her in the first place.

I even to an extent pity guys like Realo and the like because well you're only young and attractive for so long and while hes having fun all of the best people are getting snapped up. When theyre 30 theyre going to find the pickings kinda slim, while I have a very happy life going on.

Well, well well, if it isn't my name doppleganger. When I first started being active on the board and especially in the chatrooms, it was horribly frustrating to be constantly confused for you. I am pleasantly surprised that your current TEW diary has gone as long as it has. Its fun to participate in and my diary has been fun as well- even if the restrictions of booking a regional fed with only an hour of TV time in a single region really do hurt. I wish I couldve figured out how to transfer the license, now its on hold til like July :(

Actually this years been kinda bleh.

It seems like there have been a lot of trash vs. trash matchups which havent been fun to vote in.

Also Frog's Theme and Terra going over made me bonkers and the lack of appreciation for Limit Break makes me sad. It feels like, and I may be wrong, there is a lot more voting based on the game of origin this year than ever before. Like its not all games but I cant imagine a world in which Frogs theme- a derivative 16 bit version of Johnny Comes Marchin Home goes over Exec_RE=Nation unless you just love Chrono Trigger.

I feel the same way with some Umineko tunes.

Yeah I can definitely tell that you did it by hand because there are a lot more "even" matches. It just results in some days being FILLED with mediocre songs to trudge through.

Hey there Maniac,I am doing quite well. And thanks for your congratulations.

Yeah thats the UCA curse for the most part. I play a jerkbutt heel there and suddenly its as though thats just who I am to a large number of people. I like UCA though, its a funtime, even if the recent voterbase has been kinda frustrating because so many people JUST vote and dont participate which would be fine but it makes it feel less worth while to promo, which promotes complacency and laziness both on my part and others.

Edit: What I explained not slice of life, that would be pure moe, no movement, no talk, no anything, just a picture almost. Slice of life has to have some stuff happening even if not having a real plot. Either way moe needs other genres to work.

Back to the point, I feel like you don't understand me. A show can't be pure ecchi or moe. It has to have some other genres, in Sankareas case supernatural and romance. They're nowhere near nonexisting when they're there all the time. Ecchi and moe are extra added genres to make stuff sell, they can easily be the main focus, but doesn't make the stuff that puts it all together nonexistant.

Because K-On! is as you even said yourself also slice of life, thus more than just moe, even though the moe is there all the time.

No show is pure Ecchi. That genre cannot work out alone. You can't make a something happen without making it other genres, even if it's pointless and they only care about the ecchi.

You can't find a show that is only moe or only ecchi, I dare you. If you can't do that then the other genres indeed exist.

During my HW heel run I was worried that ctes might be taking things seriously and it worried me a bit. He seemed legit pissed with my Heel GM shenanigans. Or maybe he is just really good at playing his face gimmick.

I actually expected my run with Tom to last longer (There was one point where I was hoping to poach GTM and make a browncoat stable, but it really didn't make any sense. Maybe when Tom goes face again someday), the whole Boko United thing was just kind of a fluke thought from the April Fools show that ended up happening. Of course the lack of change may also be part of the reason for my rather half hearted (at best) participation in recent months.

Maybe someday I'll put in the effort to get up to HW again and even win the title. However the last run ended up backfiring even worse than I ever expected. I may have been a bit too good of a heel there and got everyone to turn on me and kill my momentum. I wonder what would have happened if I had gone through with my plan to force Football face by betraying him and calling him a disgrace to heels. I still think it would have made an awesome feud, but the King swerve was too much fun to pass up once we all decided on it.

Yeah that KOTB was an awesome conspiracy. But I daresay we have a bit too much of that lately. XIIIs booking is far too reliant on outside forces and plans hatched outside the contest. Sparingly its cool, but weve had too much of it lately.


And yeah Moe isnt a genre, moe is like a character/art style.

And uhh Slice of Life is generally defined by NOT having a plot. But Sankarea is more like Merry Dream Eater than SoL stuff like say K-On. Theres an overall plot, its just not very high stakes. Its a romance at its heart, more than anything else. ( or romcom)

Yea well to sum it up, I'm watching Sankarea for the moe zombie girlfriend. Apparently someone is subconsciously guilty about liking the show for that same reason.

I'm being honest here, if I'm watching an ecchi or moe show I'm not going to try to justify it.
