I'm off for the next two days and I'm actually sad about it. I prefer being at work.
They weren't giving me many hours at first, like this week I only worked for three days before I stole some shifts for two more days. Now we're selling these Men in Black 3 cups and our quota is to sell five every day. The first day I sold about 30. Over the last four days I've sold almost a hundred. So next week I finally have some good hours, over 40. I'm so excited about it.
And free movies is the absolute best perk of any job ever.
Yeah I've heard mixed things about working at movie theaters. Some of the tasks sound like they suck, but I won't deny that free/early screenings sound like a great perk.

I work in Concessions. At first it seemed like I would hate it, but it turned out being really awesome. I worked at walmart for two and a half years, mostly at the service desk, and I had some terrible ass customers. Here we have all awesome customers because they actually want to be there to see a movie for enjoyment. So I've had nothing but great interactions. There really isn't anything I hate about my job aside from the main manager lady, who everyone hates because she's a total b****.
From: ScorpioVS | #003 How old are you?
22. Yeah, I'm one of the oldest employees there, but the highschoolers for the most part are actually pretty mature and cool. There's only a couple of them that I don't like. The rest of my co-workers are all awesome.
I worked at a movie theater for a about two years, and it got real old real fast. Within six months you're going to get sick of coming home smelling like popcorn. You're going to get disgusted by the sight of butter. Free movies sometimes become a burden if your friends try and take advantage of it. Nothing like seeing the same movie multiple times just so your buddies don't have to pay. Overall it's a pretty terrible job with very little reward.

If you can read this I've momentarily stopped lurking.
I'm just glad to see SHalo happy about something. I have a few friends that would love a movie theater job but they can't do it because it doesn't pay enough.

Also I don't mind customer service. I worked at walmart for years and those were some terrible customers. But the people that go to a movie theater actually want to be there, so I haven't had any problems with any of them.
Come to think of it, I have vivid memories of getting home at 11 PM on summer nights, reeking of popcorn, wiping the salt off of my body, then staying up for four more hours on Board 8 discussing the character battle and listening to Gorillaz.
Life was awesome then (and no, this isn't sarcasm).
