And unlike Diablo III, it doesn't even have the flimsy excuse Blizzard gives. I doesn't matter to me, but eventually this is going to start happening with single-player games I do care about, which will suck.

It sucks major balls for Diablo 3 actually, I might be always online but not their servers, and so I can't play when I want to, like at the moment.

It also makes game mods impossible. You think if, say, Morrowind had been always online, its modding community would have kept it alive for so long?

No, but you can't access Dragon Age DLC without an internet connection after you've bought it. Dunno if that holds true for 2 or Mass Effect.

It sucks if your university is large and during busy times of the day you can get kicked from the network with no prior indication that it was about to happen.
