Any tips? What's essential to ride, and see? Open to anything, I love coasters though.

Oh.

Yeah, there's one in Williamsburg, Virginia that I've been to a couple of times, and this has me thinking that I need to go again this summer. I'm pretty sure the two have totally distinct sets of roller coasters, but the Tampa one is probably similar in having a really awesome zoo, so there's always that.

Kings Dominion has the Volcano, which makes it better than a lot of things

Shiekra is fun as f***, Cheetah Hunt is really fun, even though it feels like a really short 3-something minutes. If I may add a personal suggestion, if you would like to save money on food and drinks go for the meal plan thingy if you are going to be there all day, You can get a free drink at almost all the food courts and discount at the stands. When my family went last month, by the time we ate lunch the meal plan thingy had paid for itself in drinks alone. I should clarify that you can also get free food at the food courts, it's just that my family and I mostly used it for drinks.

Busch Gardens is great! You're gonna love it, no doubt. My favorites there are Sand Serpent, Kumba, Sheikra and the Congo River Rapids, but there isn't a bad ride in the bunch.

Montu is the best all-around, Shiekra is great if you like drops, Cheetah Hunt is cool but not really worth the wait more than once.

Avoid the wooden coaster.

Not gonna lie, I never worked up the courage to ride Montu. I don't usually sweat coasters much, but Montu looks like the quintessential "DEATH AWAITS" theme park ride. >_>

Avoid all the convenience stores south of North 22nd Street on Fowler Avenue.

Cool. I'm visiting from Canada.

Anyways I definitely want to go on Sheikra at some point, but not first since it's been a few years since I've been on a roller coaster. What's the best "Warm up" ride?

Three top rides of the day were Kumba, Cheetah Hunt, and Montu (sp?)

Kumba was a blast all around, my favorite, loved the initial drop and all the loops.
Montu was pretty awesome too. Didn't have the wow factor that Kumba did, but Montu had some crazy cork screws.
Cheetah Hunt had it's ups and downs. The high speed start, and zero gravity zones were cool, but otherwise it wasn't very exciting.

Is it weird that when I ride roller coasters I think I'm like Harry Potter playing Quiditch? >_>

Sheikra was definitely worth trying, but it was realllly short.

It was like *Climb* "OH GOD I'M DYING" *Loop, loop, splash* done.

And unfortunately not Jeff, it was closed by that time.
