man hussie's really churning out these updates today!
maybe a s: uu wake up soon? hopefully?
He tends to churn out character introduction pages fast. Using sprites probably helps the speed. I think I remember him saying it takes longer to make the sprites instead of doing a normal drawing, but he can reuse sprites which helps with that issue.

I finally believe it. This is not butter. And I know deep down in my heart that I must become butter atheist.
Saw this theory earlier: uu is an earlier LE, who made the peg leg after he cut off his own leg to escape from the chain. The peg leg is where UU's chain is, right?

pegleg is on the right side on LE which is where uu's shackle probably is thought of this idea where he blew his own foot / ankle off to escape

So, you're saying UU and uu are in the Furthest Ring somehow? And yet they're not in the game? And despite time not existing in the furthest ring, this sun has gone red giant and is at the end of its lifespan?
Dude, seriously.
This is just a normal star, and will function as the Cherubs' incentive to enter the game because it's about to blow up.

We don't actually know it's a red giant at the end of its lifespan. It could, you know, just be a red colored star. Homestuck isn't exactly known for being scientifically accurate.

It could, you know, be both. Or neither. But it clearly is related in some way, whether as a counterpoint to it or as the same thing later on, ESPECIALLY with the red/green opposites point.
Let me ask you, when was the last time Hussie introduced something like this that has such an obvious correlation to something that already exists that WASN'T relevant?
Ugh, some of you people are just so tiresome in your lack of understanding. How can we have a meaningful discussion going when some of us have to spoonfeed the rest constantly?
FROM THE LATEST UPDATE:
"Your world is so old, its star is reaching the end of its life cycle. It may collapse any day now."
My new (and probably incorrect) theory on the meaning of the sun: The Red Sun represents Calliope's life span since the sun is about to die and she is most likely never waking up again and the Green Sun represents uu's/LE's lifespan since it was just created and uu is most likely going to take over their shared body so it is a new life for him and the Green Sun broke LE's seal bringing him back from wherever he was.

But the Green Sun always existed, since the beginning of time.
I understand what you mean though. But regardless, the colours are wrong.
I could think of a dozen ways the colors being wrong would not matter. Enchantments, something about a kind and queen switching, a potentially artistic statement, hussie being hussie, etc etc etc

There is no shame in not knowing; the shame lies in not finding out
It's obvious that he was "voiding" out everything related to Lord English and himself in the book, using Equius' blood. Probably because Doc Scratch knew UU/uu would end up with the book.
Similarly, we can probably assume that the reason limebloods were hunted to extinction was because Scratch was overseeing Alternia, and UU has lime colored blood...
You guys are forgetting that if uu becomes Lord English, he will have more than enough time to discover the book, then go back in time and take action.
Yeah, but that still leaves open the question of what Gamzee did for Doc Scratch prior to Cascade. (Unless you mean that LE specifically brings the book back in time for Gamzee to redact.)
-- You put your RESOLVE HAT back on, which conveniently is the same hat as your NORMAL HAT. {Drakeryn}
It might not amount to anything at all. We've known Scratch was in contact with Aradia since the end of Hivebent and we never figured out specifically what he was doing there, either. Until it comes up in story I personally am just going to dismiss it as Scratch's generic machination bulls***.
He was also talking to Kanaya, that didn't turn out to be relevant either.
Of course, Gamzee is the only male character he's spoken to (besides Karkat, briefly), so maybe there's something to that? But I wouldn't bet on it.
Speaking of red herrings and things written off - has anyone thought about AR's Delirious Biznasty programs and their significance yet? Think it might be a joke, or is there something more to it? They've been prominently called out by several characters, after all.
To be honest though, my first thought when seeing the book was that Gazmee/the kids were manipulating them into "creating" Lord English not as a result of any of Scratch's plans, but because it's something they have to do anyways due to causality and whatnot.
Kind of like how Vriska gave Bec's powers to Jack because she wanted to be the one to both create and kill their greatest enemy (though it turned out it wasn't just Vriska who was responsible for that). The kids want to stop Lord English, but first, they have to make sure he exists. But it could go either way. I'm not sure if Scratch would trust the most volatile troll to do his work, but who knows, maybe it does tie in with his crazy religion!
