And I admit Daniel is mostly ahead of Jack because of my very real love for archaeology. Granted, archaeology doesn't usually involve fending off evil alien parasites and organized religion gone horribly wrong across multiple galaxies.

i don't even know if i have this right despite teal'c Naw, that's Carter. Mitchell is the dude who 'replaces' Jack O'Neill in the last couple of seasons. His actor is better known (relative terms, people!) as Crichton from Farscape.

Also, gawd, I always yell at people about forgetting poor Jonas, and then I went and forgot poor Jonas.

From: Anagram | #014 Include SGA's cast in the ranking? No one cares about SGU, obviously. Well, alright. Advance warning: I actually liked Weir a lot. It's tragic what the writers did to her; it's tragic what the writers did to Stargate.
Daniel > Jack > Teal'c > Sheppard > McKay > Vala > Weir > Jonas > Hammond > Ronon > Beckett > Carter > Mitchell > Ford > Landry > Teyla > Kaylee from Firefly

Jack > Ba'al > Teal'c > Sheppard > McKay > Daniel > Beckett > Weir > Carter > Keller > Ronon > Landry > Fraiser > Felger > Hammond > replacement for Fraiser who played the ship AI in Andromeda > Vala > Mitchell > Jonas > Teyla > Ford (lol poor guy)
Man. Ford. They built up that whole thing with him where he was this constant security risk looming over their heads and then I guess he maybe sort of died or not who knows the end.
I just always found Jonas kind of awkward. Not anything about his character in particular, just his entire existence.
Speaking of Andromeda and shows that eventually went down the crapper. Hoo. Lasted a whole half a season, that one did.

I just always found Jonas kind of awkward. Not anything about his character in particular, just his entire existence. Thing about Ford is, the writers on SGA were f***ing horrible at long-term payoff. Some of the worst I've ever seen in any series remotely worth watching. Good lord almighty, what the hell happened there? They screwed Weir over in a similar fashion. By the time they got around to, like, the third time they had Weir appear again after ousting her from permanent status, Torri Higginson literally told them she wasn't going to make the plane trip back up to Vancouver unless she could be offered assurance her arc was finished and the fans would be happy.
The writers declined, so they got that actress back who played Fran in that fourth-season episode about blowing up the Replicator homeworld. What the f***.
As for Ford, I try to pretend Sheppard was just speaking in tongues or something when he mentions that Ford could have survived the explosion.

I like to think he was speaking in tongues, because then it begs the question of whether or not he was host to a Goa'uld for a brief period of time, because lol get it, Pentecostal jokes.
But yeah, and then they had Ford's actor come back for a single thirty-five second scene in the fifth-season premiere just to be an illusion in Sheppard's mind b****ing about how Sheppard never saved him. What the hell, who made that call? I guess Rainbow Sun Francks (PBUHN) must have been in the area.

The thing that got me most about SGA was how they were constantly bouncing back and forth between between completely isolated in a hostile galaxy to essentially being an extension of SGC. They get a power source, and then they deplete it. They get another one, and they have to move. They build a gate bridge, and then they blow it up.
And how are we going to trick the Wraith into thinking we've been destroyed this season? They keep falling for it! They're an entire species of... suckers. Hiyo.
And yet the Wraith aren't defeated at the end of the series, because, welp, "we're so damn sure we're getting at least one telemovie... oh wait, we aren't. Welp."
-- K | H | A | Q | Q | A | H | K http://img.imgcake.com/Jeffzeropngus.png
Yeah, I don't think I'd part with either of them for an SGA wrap-up movie. I would trade Brad Wright's obsession with proving Stargate Universe was ever a good idea for an SGA movie, though. In a heartbeat.

Yeah, I just never came back after one of the midseason finales of SGU. I loved Rush, but then everything else about the show was Dawson's Creek in space with awful music montages at the end of each episode.
I stopped watching after the first ten episodes. I eventually went back and watched the next ten, but I never did bother with the last twenty. And for someone who had gotten as into the franchise as I did, that's saying quite a bit. Shame.

It's all I'm really adamant about seeing on television. I'm confident in Robert Hewitt Wolfe's abilities overall, but I'm not confident in his currently-being-worked-on show's odds of even nailing the greenlight, let alone surviving for a number of seasons.
