I got no sense of malice from the video. She's just doing this as an intellectual pursuit and even said that she'd be looking at both sides of the coin.

this actually has nothing to do with looks, I'm guessing it's about how most vg writers are awful at writing female characters so the times when they are more than just eye candy they basically just make a male 'character' but design her to look like a female. the biggest issue with this portrayal is that it implies that females can only be strong in the same way that males can be strong, or something along those lines.

serious question, at what point did she say that exploring male stereotypes mattered less? she's doing informative videos on a subject she's interested in. just because my chief interests are in bio and chem doesn't mean that I think compsci doesn't matter, so I feel like that's a really weird conclusion to draw unless you're predisposed to believing that someone who is a 'feminist' has it out to get all men.
