Too many websites out there to create a unique password for each one. Especially since I have my browser remember all my passwords and I only enter them once every few months, if that. Anything connected to e-mail or money is unique, but apart from that... I really couldn't even care that much if my accounts were compromised.

I don't see the point in having different passwords for every account I have. I really don't care if my twitter/gamefaqs/youtube and other just casual accounts that I don't put money into get hacked. My steam/bank/paypal all have unique passwords and that is good enough.

What? This makes no sense. If you're saving passwords in your browser, then there's no reason to not have them all unique, since you don't have to remember them all, the browser does.

The point is you don't get in the habit of inputting them when your browser saves them and if they're all different you have to write them down somewhere.

Is it really that hard to create a password algorithm?

Even if it's something simple like
a fixed part with numbers, upper and lowercase letters and a symbol like hT6(Od
then something like the first three letters of the site so you can remember the password

Sure there are more secure ways of doing it, but it makes every place unique and you still only need to remember one password
