I got my free gundam too (Strike). Bought Gundam vs Gundam Next Plus.

The Sunrise Panel was whatevers. The translator kept screwing up, but I could tell she was doing the best she could. It started with a short film about the history of Gundam, and that was pretty cool. I really enjoyed it (G and Wing got the most cheers when they showed up on screen, unsurprisingly). After that, they talked about shows I didn't care about, so I went from =D to :-|

That said, Short Peace DOES look pretty amazing. Might actually have to check that out.

The Bandai booth was pretty cool. If I hadn't been inside Robot4Less's store in Fullerton, I would have been losing my mind at all the kits they had for sale. The prices were actually not too bad either.

They're selling a Special edition of the HGUC Banshee that comes bundled with the episode and some other stuff btw.

It was funny to see the gundam video skip past the gundam series not that popular (and disnt even show ZZ at all lol)

When you build Dynames, tell me what you think of it Angelo. I was sort of let down by that kit. It's one of the few AU MSes I really loved, but the kit feels kind of...cheap.. or something. I really dislike the wings on it.

1/144. High Grade to be specific.

Usually the newer high grades, at least those made after 2005, are pretty great. AGE, from my experience, has pumped out some outstanding kits at that level. But Dynames... Something just feels off about it. It's the only 00 kit I own, so I can't comment on the HG00 line as a whole though.

Yeah, 20 dollars sounds about right. That's how much I paid for mine as well.

Who knows, you might end up loving it. I mean, there are things I like about it as well. The moveable V Fin, for example, is pretty cool. Just make sure you at least panel line it, especially the wings.

Unicorn screening was great. It looks amazing on a big screen.

The panel itself was pretty interesting. Apparently each episode is dubbed in a week. The guest speakers were some random dude from Bandai Visual, Mineva's voice actress and Angelo's voice actor, who is apparently also the direct of the dub.

Been playing a lot of Gundam vs Gundam Next Plus.

This is the greatest game I've ever played. Nu Gundam is a freaking BEAST in this game. Fin Funnels everywhere

Yeah, I really do :(. While Extreme Vs doesn't have Char's Zaku (One of my favorites), it DOES have Crossbones, which is awesome.

So I'm confused. Apparently we're back to when the first episode takes place, but I can't think of a time frame where it COULD have taken place.

First they were on the ship down the river, and ever since then they have been doggedly pursued by Garcia Battalion.

I guess it doesn't really matter though, since it was just a framing device. What was up with the reporter dude asking Daisy to take her clothes off though O_o

Man what a downer. Festo went out LIKE THAT... He was a cool dude. My favorite non-Crinn or Rocky of the group. I was really enjoying his budding bromance with Heakle. Damnit . I had a bad feeling when they kept showing the handgranade bouncing around all episode.

Apparently the OPs for Zeta were composed by that guy, which all he did was take his he had already written songs and arrange them. I'm still trying to find a version of his of Mizu no Hoshi, but no luck.

Apparently he's also the reason we no longer get those songs in games. Apparently when they went to release Zeta in the US on DVD, he started throwing a ***** fit over royalties and wanted a bunch of money.

AGE 38

Pretty good episode. Totally sucks that Kio sold out his government for nothing though. I think the insert song was nice, but didn't care for the lack of animation in that scene.

I am not going to lie, I got a little emotional during Kio's escape. Lu's diary was pretty sad :(

Asemu is pretty bad ass as a pirate. MUCH better than as fresh recruit. I think that's been a running theme of the show: The protagonists become more interesting after their arc is over. Kio has been pretty cool though.

I wonder who is piloting the Vagan gundam.

Man, things are starting to get REALLY bad. I don't know how it can get any worse for them, to be honest. They're divided. All of their allies have abandoned them.

Heckle is a freaking GENIUS though. I'm pretty sure he's my favorite character currently.

Finally an episode that ended halfway optimistically. Crinn and Canary's attack on the Grand Prix was pretty awesome. Heckle continues to be a top tier character as well.

Not sure how I feel about Not-Festo. Festo was a cool dude, so it feels cop outish that they're already going to replace him WITH A DUDE WHO LOOKS AND SOUNDS AND ACTS JUST LIKE HIM. Reminds me of 00

It has mecha (as TSFs) fighting aliens (called BETA) and while it hasn't happened yet there's going to be a love triangle

its ongoing and only has 2 eps but I think it's decent so far

If there is one thing I know, it is that I know nothing.

I find the political aspect to be VERY well done. I'm pretty sure Lecoque is going to be the main villain, but all of the undertones have been pretty logical and realistic.

If I had to rank characters so far (of the main party at least)

Heckle > Crinn > Rocky > Festo > Nanashi > Billy > Chico > Canary.

They're all bros though. Canary was pissing me off by dogging Crinn all of the time, but I think now that they stuck together, she's going to be a lot nicer to him.

Pretty good episode. We finally know Ezelcant's plan: Eugenics. A lot of stuff was said.

Not enough Asemu bossing it up with the Dark Hound IMHO.

Also, apparently Deen is going to be a soldier. I wonder if Kio is gonna kill him :(

Yeah I feel like everything in AGE is coming to a boil before the final stretch; I'm excited. I just hope it won't be a complete UNDERSTANDING ending.

I kinda like how AGE is almost a post turn A setting. They're pulling it off with the right amount of ambiguity.

Vagan Nu Wing Zero is awesome, but it hasn't gone 100% yet.

The whole 'machine can't keep up' thing felt really shoehorned, but hopefully this means Kio will cease jobbing

It reminded me of one of my favorite elements of 0079: The fact that Amuro actually outgrew Gundam. However, I doubt they're going to handle it as awesomely as 0079 did, where they just modified the Gundam. Kio will probably get a new Gundam in an episode or 2.

I watched SD Gundam Mk 1 today. It was hilarious. A lot different than I expected.

I'm a little worried though. Basically it appears that AGE has basically been a commercial for that game. Since the game is set to come out mid August, does that mean that is when AGE will end? Or does that mean the game will spoil AGE's ending?

In any case, it seems like if we want the full story of AGE, we need to play this.
