What they don't tell you about 6 was that that was at the state track meet. It happened just a couple weeks ago. That girl had already won a title in the 1600 so she figured it wouldn't hurt to help someone finish the 3200.

Damn, that makes it even better.

She's a champion (already won an event) and a badass at the same time for helping someone.

My new hero.

Man this kinda stuff happens in my town everyday. When me and the fiancee were poor the lady that runs the local grocery store gave us free bread and limes. I've had strangers buy us doughnuts for no reason other than a random act of kindness. I also have a local business owner that let me do workshops in her store back when I was stil getting my feng shui business off the ground. The local tea place gave me and a huge group of friends a free meal because it was the first day since opening she had been able to write herself a check.

Yeah this, those pictures are no doubt nice but I see random acts of kindness everyday, I've never really lost faith in humanity, in fact I love humanity much more every year.

This is a loser's mentality and the reason why our country is soft tbqh. Paraphrasing the late, great Patrice Oneal:

"Football is soft nowadays. Now if a player is hurt on the field, the teams all hold hands, take a knee. Back when I played football, we would do an Indian Hump Dance around the player, then take his socks and tie them on our facemasks so other teams know we paralyze motherf***ers."

There is when it means you sacrifice your victory/placement to do so. The fact that people applaud this is disgusting. No wonder why people think China will be the sole superpower in a few decades.

people who respond to trolls are worse than the trolls themselves. Fact. Trolls are just people who want others to be as sad as themselves or people seeking attention.

People that respond to trolls are people who need to feel justified and self-righteous. The worst kind of people.

@Seph: Patrice O'Neal was a GAWD. R.I.P. As for his point, I played football and you never wanted someone else to be injured. I loved the violence, I miss the constant violence, I always wanted to cause someone physical pain and watch them quit over time as I proved my superiority as a physical specimen, but our ability to escape tribalistic violence is what allowed us to progress as a species.

But enough of that, more pictures of human beings showing that we're the supreme beings.

Yeh, when I played rugby I was the same way. You wanted to cause the guy pain, not actually injure him. Imagine it's the same way with most people who play contact sports, and the ****s who go specifically to injure generally get headhunted anyway, so it works out for the most part.

Great set of pictures.

PerfectChaos: You gotta let stuff go. Seriously.

The reason people lose their faith in humanity and make these pictures necessary, is because they, like the evening news, only want to remember the worst things that happen. People have a masochistic love for the macabre.

If you let one person ruin a great moment then you deserve to get trolled.

I was going to post this when I read the topic last night, but I didn't feel like raining on anyone's parade. I really hate the term "losing faith in humanity" because I feel you actively have to ignore all the good to be able to even think that humanity is "bad" on the whole. People are generally ****ing great, and that's why it's such a big deal whenever you run into a complete *******. You definitely get what you out out though, so I can understand miserable people thinking that the world sucks.

I wasn't aware MWE was an actual troll, I just assumed that he had..... well something going on with him. It would be rude to say what I imagine. But I've always been that sucker that takes things too seriously at times and gives people the benefit of the doubt.

But yeah, I agree with Realo. Don't let people ruin good moments for you. This topic is about the good in people, no need to include negativity into it.

I think, indvidually people are pretty cool. However, whenever we act in any sort of collective way we act like huge ****bags. And sadly its the collective actions that have more of an impact on the world at large

Anyway, the possibility always is there that people simply don't know some trolls are trolls, right?

About Picture #1: I still would not accept the apologies. Homophobia is the one thing I will NEVER forgive, and I despise even EX-homophobes.

I'll always remember an ex-homophobe as a homophobe.

Now this is just unreasonable even for you. I'm extremely quick to criticize intolerant religious bigots like that, but I would still feel as though I were understating that gesture in the picture if I were to call it commendable and exemplary. Religion needs more ambassadors like that

also #5 is awesome
