There's probably a better way of wording that, but oh well. Just wondering if ME3: Extended Cut is going to show up for download within a few hours or not.
I'm in EST, by the way.

Heh, man. I completely forgot I could have checked twitter for word from the devs. I used to chat up several of 'em back in the day, but I've really distanced myself from the ME fandom since... the event. :P

Not sure if you knew this already, but I just saw that they also lowered the EMS requirement for the "best" ending from 4000 to 3100, so you won't have to worry about MP anymore. Which is nice, because I was just about to go online to raise my galactic readiness back up when I saw that.

I did not know that and my girlfriend is currently in multiplayer matches for that very reason. I will inform him of the excellent news.

I actually had to play a couple of MP games to get my rating above 3100, guess I didn't have enough total points from previous playthroughs. 59% readiness was enough, so it probably won't be that big a deal unless the file in question was a minimalist run or something.

Yeah, our EMS is at like 62% right now, so I guess that's enough. Apparently she wants to keep playing though. >_> Eh, it is a well-crafted experience, but even Mass Effect has failed to get me into multiplayer online shooter stuff. Just not my cup.

Lowering the EMS requirement was a needed move, too. I love the multiplayer but I really don't think other people should have to play it just to get above 4000.
My EMS is pretty much constantly at 100%, lol.

Now I just need to remember to start downloading it tomorrow morning before work.

Yeah, I can definitely appreciate the multiplayer from a technical perspective. But hell, I didn't even download the free DLC for it until yesterday, and technically that was esurio's doing. Just not for me. Oh well, I was hopeful I'd get over my bias against online shooter stuff, but it just didn't happen. D:
Still, the single-player is fun as hell and the game was well worth the price.

I was also pleasantly surprised that your readiness never drops below 50%, which I was thinking was only the case if you never activated online. I thought for sure my percentage would be a goose egg after having not played it for two months.

Looking at my EMS reminds me of one of my gripes with the ME universe - it's a bit too human-centric. You already associate with humanity plenty in this game (Shepard, Illusive Man, Joker, Anderson, Hacket, and Udina are among the most important characters in the story), so why give the Alliance the bulk of the EMS? The turians are repeatedly said to have the strongest fleet in the cosmos, yet humanity has nearly triple the military strength, and double that of the krogan and geth. It's stupid for a species that has been on the galactic stage for all of three decades.

I can see your point. It would have been cooler to spread it out. But unlike most, I actually quite like the human-centric nature of the ME universe.
