Light at least attempted to make it interesting (even if the votes were probably coming in to eliminate Kenshin, the stronger threat, from other camps). Rather ho-hum final group (has been for a while to me) but at least everyone left is fairly iconic this time.
Since Sayid's elimination, the Bride is the only character left that I even know. I know who some of the others are, but I've never played/watched whatever they were in.
Beatrix Kiddo/The Bride - My favorite left Ezio Auditore da Firenze - The best Assassin left HK-47 - The coolest character left Himura Kenshin - I've watched a bit of anime, but never this one

Still, he sure as hell assassinates quite a few foul plots post-Samurai X, leaving countless individuals broken. More relevant to your argument, going off of that OVA alone he killed about as many people as Altair ever did in AC1, so it's entirely fair to just run off of that 90 minutes.

Isn't the entire point of Kenshin's character in the anime that he doesn't kill, lol?
I mean, I know what he used to be, but what is he now???
He operates on the angle of soulful assassin seeking to make the world a better place. I highly recommend the comic, but if you only experience one part of Rurouni Kenshin then watch (Samurai X) Trust and Betrayal. You'd be better off reading that storyline when it comes along in the comic storyline because it hits you a lot harder when you finally see the moment why he has sworn never to kill.
That being said, as an assassin he was legendary. His skills and reputation were so sublime that he can never have a peaceful life not only because everyone wants to be "the one who killed the Hitokiri Battousai", but also because he has murdered so many that his soul is constantly at a struggle for peace.
Yes, you can take a shallow look and assume that he's a bundle of clichés: child orphan assassin, repentant kind-hearted assassin, unassuming meek assassin, moral code assassin, etc, but Kenshin becomes truly great and deep as a character and transcends all that. The story is really good and has great designs and action expressed brilliantly in its panels. There is a reason why the series is so beloved and why the current top selling comic author in Japan learned quite a bit when he worked under RuroKen's creator, Nobuhiro Watsuki.
That being said I really like 3/4 of the remaining characters. I only saw Kill Bill 1 in theatres and never really had the urge to see 2, so maybe The Bride is much better in that one. My favorite character was Buck anyway and I seriously doubt he's in part 2...lol
