I would guess we just get points if the people on our teams do those things.
Shouldn't there maybe be negative points for some things? Like someone being nominated or evicted? Actually I'm not sure why being on the block on eviction night should garner points. For being on the block and not being evicted, I would get, but for just being nominated?
Essentially it's all about doing something. I considered having a point system last year for each HG just to see who was the most visible based on the criteria I listed above. Getting nominated isn't a good thing in the game but I don't think it needs to detract points. It shows that you're around and a part of the action - so you get rewarded for having your neck on the line. I don't think anything should take away points under the current system, unless someone is willing to put together a different point format that allows it.
Another issue is activity. I don't think everyone will be active, and, although I'd love to have the format be more complex, what with people selecting certain houseguests to "play" and "bench" and whatnot, I don't think I should expect much activity for the long haul. Inactivity is the worst. So a simple "you get points for having your players do stuff" seems simple and effective enough at the moment, without asking much from participants.
I'm thinking that being nominated = 4 points. Every vote cast against you (but you still survive) = 1 point each. So theoretically you could get nominated (4 points), be on the block come eviction (5 points), and every subsequent vote against you garners you more points. So, while winning HoH is worth a whopping 10 points, at least 1 person each week will gain 9 points from being nommed and staying on the block. For being THIS close to getting evicted, you can possibly gain more points than simply winning HoH.
Well, we can either keep it simple and have 2 pools of 4 users each, where each user gets 4 players.
Or we can have 1 big pool and we each get 2, or somehow mix and match. But I haven't thought through the mixing and matching yet, and how that could possibly work.
2 players would be cool. Mixing and matching isn't too bad as long as nobody picks the same guys.
+25 pts - Winning the game +15 pts - Runner up +10 pts - Winning HoH +7 pts - Winning Veto +3 pts - Surviving a week +3 pts - Winning Food/Reward Challenge (+5 pts if solo) +5 pts - Being on the block after veto -1 pt - For each vote cast against you when nominated

2 players would be kinda bad, I think, because someone is going to lose 1 player on the first week, and that's 50% of their team. I'm not a big fan of that, honestly.
Mixing and matching is exactly that - people picking the same guys! >->
25 points for winning the game is inconsequential in the scheme of things, I think. Same with running up. But I'm always down for the winner getting points, so maybe 25 is a fair amount.
Also the veterans won't be doing any of the things that garner points, except for maybe Have/Have Not competitions. I feel like there should be other options based on what they can actually do, otherwise drafting them won't really accomplish much of anything.

I think trades will be an option. I'm liking the idea of mixing and matching - one giant pool where each houseguest can be selected twice.
I have no idea what the veterans will be capable of so I can't create a point value based on their unique situation.
I'm thinking I'll do that. However when selecting your team I'd recommend treating them like any other contestant, because I wouldn't be surprised if they're eventually put into the actual game.
AUGH. She's by far the worst person this season. She'll probably be the crappy chef who's really annoying that somehow makes the F4. Just like every freakin season. I don't know why I still watch the show, it's so predictable. Have you noticed every competition always comes down to the last person?
oh man, watched the commercial that aired during the price is right
Wil seems pretty fabulous, totally was wrong on the chef, the rocker chick is going to be my perpetual "please be evicted" person regardless of personality because i find heavily tattooed women disgusting >_>

Well this is only the second season I've seen of this show (I watched season 9 last year). I know what you mean in terms of keeping the annoying drama makers, like Elise last year (who I didn't like). I honestly don't think Robyn is bad. I think she's generally a really positive person, who is just kind of hyper-active. The last episode where her and Kimmie had that huge fight was really the first time I felt like Robyn was actually being overly negative and saying pretty bad things. Prior to that, I feel that she often actually does own up to some of her mistakes, and is always trying to help others and saying good things. She's just fairly loud and talks really fast. But compared to all the other negative people who are always complaining and always blaming everyone else, Robyn is mild. I just really like her as person. She's been my favorite person so far out of season 9 and 10.
My other favorites this season are Clemenza and Dana (and I also liked Danielle and Guy a lot). Last season i liked Elizabeth, Will, Tommy, and Jennifer. Also both of those seasons had someone I liked a lot who was great at cooking in the beginning, who I thought would win in the first few episodes, then they totally shut down mid season, sucked at cooking, and got really whiny (Patrick this season, and Jonathon last season).
Anyway, it's at least entertaining for me, only 2 seasons in.
I can't justify paying for the live feeds when I can just follow the updates for free and all the best stuff gets uploaded to youtube the same day.

I hope I catch some interesting stuff this year on the feeds. Besides there being no evel dick right at the beginning, I didn't see anything worthwile last season. I think the last cool thing I saw live was Dick ripping into (lol) Jameka and Wahmber in the kitchen while Dustin kept peeking through the door. Best thing I ever saw live was the BIG BOY wrestling match in All stars. Also, I hope BB Canada has some free feeds for the first season.
My favorite thing from the feeds (I had it for 10, 12, and 13) was Just the Tip, the talk show starring Britney and Ragan with appearances by Matt and Hayden. That was hilarious.
