It's ok, Rory ended up getting a gig where he became a Time Lord commanding, among others, a different companion named Rory, and Amy went off to explore a jungle in skimpy clothes with The Rock.

S6E3 - "Man of the People"

This is awkward, people gotta stop doing this sort of thing to Deanna Troi. It's starting to approach the "let's steal Data" level of trope.

S6E4 - "Relics"

James Doohan is precious, and Montgomery Scott is a gift. That being said, this episode was sad for me personally, as a TOS fan. It was good that the TNG cast learned a little empathy in the end, though. I drew parallels to how one treats older generations - don't dismiss them out of hand.

S6E5 - "Schisms"

This was a waste of my time. I think I blacked out for part of this episode in particular because I was tired - but felt I hadn't missed anything by the end. Nope.

"True Q" is next!

S6E6 - "True Q"

A strange, kinda bogus episode. I like Q but creating little Mary Sue to join the Continuum just seemed lame. Plus the Riker crush and how it was handled was just cringey. I liked the ethical questions being asked, and that's about it.

S6E7 - "Rascals"

I love this episode, not least of all because I feel that our experience as children shapes us as adults. It was especially fun seeing Guinan and Ro as children, and watching the crew members team up with the real children in order to save the ship. Kind of a silly episode, but I can't complain because Adam Nimoy directed it and it's adorable.

S6E8 - "A Fistful of Datas"

Hilarious episode. Is it bad that I love it when the holodeck malfunctions? The reaction from the characters tends to become "Oh no, it's real life." Imagine if you could just say "Pause" and walk out of any given situation? Too much control. I love seeing TNG characters lose their control. Brent Spiner gives a fantastic performance

S6E9 - "The Quality of Life"

Data really steps outside of his normal operation to protect the lives of little smart dudes getting exploited for their labor. Nicely done, favorite character. In side notes, I couldn't stand the shading on Dr Farallon's prosthetic piece, they kept using a dark brown or black to create shadow and I felt a warmer tone should have been introduced for interest/realism.

S6E9 & S6E10 - "Chain of Command, Parts I and II"

This was terrifying. Prisoner of war, PTSD, war crimes, crimes against humanity, dehumanizing, degrading, forced nudity, torture, interrogation, etc. all in one drama-packed episode. Patrick Stewart is incredible, as is David Warner as Gul Madred. Picard's fortitude is incredible, as is his systematic dismantling of the psychological torture he's under. "You are six years old, you are weak and helpless, you cannot hurt me!" was an amazing line.

Great two-parter, looking forward to more.

"Ship in a Bottle" is next.

My episode numbers were off on "Chain of Command", it should read S6E10 & S6E11. I regret the error.
S6E12 - "Ship in a Bottle"

We got a little wibbly-wobbley timey-wimey with this episode. I did enjoy seeing the 'holodeck within a holodeck' aspect. Moriarty is an interesting character and so is the Countess [although I don't know what was up with her strangely dark hairline??]. Nice to see our intrepid space explorers squirm a little bit.

S6E13 - "Aquiel"

I was okay with this episode until I got too tired and started hating it. Also the dog??? It's so cute to have a dog, I vote for dog in half of all episodes. Also, someone needs to teach Riker how to deal with dogs. For a wheeling dealing ladies' man, he sure is ham-fisted and awkward when it comes to petting a pup.

S6E14 - "Face of the Enemy"

What an episode. I really enjoyed it, and it's always fun playing cat and mouse with the Romulans. Please though, can we powder Ensign DeSeve's wig please? It was noticeably shiny every time he showed up. Troi shows some sass and savvy when it comes to going undercover - the conversational management was great. Did I hold out hope to see Spock, even though I knew I wouldn't? Yes. Yes I did.

"Tapestry" is next.

This topic compelled me to rewatch Ship in a Bottle. Still a fantastic episode, perhaps even more fantastic now with the passage of time and simulated universes being a somewhat mainstream science topic.

Loved Data and Picard realizing that everything was a fake, including the Geordi protesting right next to them. And of course, there is the resolution where Moriarty is cursed(?) to a lifetime of perceived experiences. And Picard's subtle musings that they themselves might be some illusion crafted by a device on someone's desk...as I watch this from a monitor on my own desk. Followed by Barclay reinforcing the notion by trying to exit his reality, cue end of episode.

S6E15 - "Tapestry"
Loved this episode, which plays out as something of Picard-based "It's a Wonderful Life", minus the effect for others in his life [which takes a bit of the punch out of it - at the same time, there isn't enough time in one episode to resolve all those implications]. Nausicaans are terrifying, and it's cool to see how much of Picard's life and relationships have changed.

S6E16 & S6E17 - "Birthright, Parts I & II"
Met Julian Bashir from DS9 this time around. Got to watch development on my two faves, Worf and Data. I imagine "you are the bird" will come up often once we lose Brent Spiner. Worf is wonderfully passionate about sharing the culture that the young'uns have missed out on - even if he is a little misguided about Ba'el [no one measures up to K'Ehleyr, if we're being honest with ourselves].

S6E18 - "Starship Mine"
I recognized Tim Russ [Tuvok from Voyager] in this episode. Is this how he acts in every role? Picard is every bit the swashbuckling captain here, and clearly has a lot of fun with it. "Data is the only one who can withstand X, it's all up to him now" rears its ugly head once more.

S6E19 - "Lessons"
Beverly Crusher 2.0 shows up in this episode and takes our dear captain on a whirlwind romance which would tug on heartstrings if he didn't have such a marvelous person already available. I have to say, now that I'm on season 6, the unrequited-love-affair-yet-we-still-eat-meals-together-and-cry-out-when-the-other's-life-is-in-danger gig is getting a little old between Picard and Crusher. Make it so, already!

S6E20 - "The Chase"
How wonderfully clever we are and how we suffer these backwater non-UFP fools. Nothing useful about this episode aside from Picard's old professor-student reunion and Data's OP status at the B'aht Qul strength challenge.

"Frame of Mind" is next.
