Can't believe I just let this game be uncompleted for a while. I was 15 chapters in of 16 when I stopped playing.

Completed all puzzles (except the Amiibo puzzles) in hard difficulty and got all rainbow medals in 70 hours. Great game, $30 well spent.

DD is indeed the most handholdy game in the series. They got a lot of complaints about it and dialed it back some in SoJ.

It was certainly fun but this is probably my least favorite Pokemon game. I don't even know why, I was trying to figure it out the entire time I was playing it, but something just felt off. I never played X/Y, I wonder if they're better. I guess I'll try them someday

I thought it still had a lot of good ideas! These were just such puzzle adventures, and I'm terrible at puzzle adventures. Sad to hear he isn't proud of them anymore, too. I was a fan of these games long before he started Zero Punctuation

Oh they are good ideas. I was there when it was still paid and indie games weren't a named genre yet. Not to say that he isn't proud of them at all, but he treats the quadrilogy like any early work for an artist; a necessary stepping stone to the stuff that he makes now.
