It seems like Rowlet and Rapidash stopped Jolteon from being the shining star of the first round. Torterra and Quilava get a little "starter boost," whille Grovyle suffers as there just isn't enough grass starter votes left! Volcarona (the coolest Pokemon) squeaks by and for some reason doesn't top the division (please tell me why, guys!) Bellsprout also falls by grass SFF. Castform just doesn't have enough going for it (FOUR FORMS?!) to generate any points. DIV U 29 Blastoise 19 Chandelure 3 Sneasel 3 Weavile -1 Treecko -1 Tropius -9 Vivillon ---------------------- -10 Rhydon -16 Chansey -17 Diancie Blastoise and Chandelure both see year-over-year drops, but mostly attributed to strong divisions and being in a group with another top contender. Sneasel and Weavile both remain positive, despite the sibling rivalry. Tropius and Treecko don't quite get above 0. Vivillon gets by for being the best bug since Volcs(but seriously, it almost lost!) This must be due to lack of exposure because I don't know how a cute, badass, fighting/ghost Pokemon doesn't resonate with voters! Ugly Chesnaught and boring turtle make sense, though! (bias ends here) The triple threat pack, Absol, Squirtle and Krookodile, all end this division strong and show why they did so well last year. Charmeleon has middle-man syndrome, but still slips by. RD 2 / DIV F 125 Gengar 114 Blastoise 111 Alakazam 83 Flareon ------------------- 83 Feraligatr 60 Durant 54 Wishiwashi DRAMA! Unfortunately, TERA didn't form a complete vote, so all of their points given out had to be discarded, which led to Feraligatr barely losing out over Flareon, thus creating a Gen 1 sweep. Gengar does great in division full of strong Gen 1 Pokemon. Blastoise and Alakazam put up respectable numbers as well. Since the top three Pokemon receive 350/630 points, someone had to suffer. Unfortunately, TERA didn't form a complete vote, so all of their points given out had to be discarded, which led to Feraligatr barely losing out over Flareon, thus creating a Gen 1 sweep. Gengar does great in division full of strong Gen 1 Pokemon. Blastoise and Alakazam put up respectable numbers as well. Since the top three Pokemon receive 350/630 points, someone had to suffer.
