Played Bloodborne once before, it was neat. We got dealt a somewhat easier challenge than average, so it felt a bit lacking. I do want to play it again to see if it being harder makes it substantially more fun.

I got Bloodborne for a friend who's a huge fan of the Souls series. I played it once with him and another friend, and I enjoyed it despite knowing nothing about the game.

I demoed that at GenCon - a full playthrough of one boss - and my friend bought it. It's not really a deep game, but it is indeed fast-paced and very entertaining.

Part of the reason I leaned against was because I haven't played the games that it's based on, so I'd feel like a dope showing up with an adaptation of the IP. (And the video game is supposed to be much better than the card game. <_<)

Can confirm the video game is fantastic, but comparing it to the card game is apples and coconuts. They're very different beasts.

my collection is 11 games

two of those are moriarty's machinations and resistance avalon, though, and i don't think MM is distinct enough to merit separation

I played Great Western Trail the other day. I liked it, but I played with 2 other people who had played before so I had some troubles early on with figuring out what I'm doing. I'd definitely like to try it again now that I have a better idea on the strategy. My main issue was at first I was playing Tokaido-style by moving very slowly so I didn't miss anything. That didn't seem to work very well so I eventually started skipping more spaces.

i had a pretty good strategy the last time i played where i had a ton of cowboys and built the building that lets you cycle a card through your deck per cowboy, right before kansas city. that one allowed me to make big deliveries without a super great deck.

i still am not sure how good building is, though. nobody has really come close to placing the high number buildings in any of the games i've played so far
