Konosuba has exactly one weak episode.

Though yes, it's near the end of S1 so ltm isn't actually wrong

I thought the S1 finale was kind of weak, but I was sick when I watched it.

The introduction episode for the mask guy in S2 is the weakest episode in the series, but immediately afterwards is a string of some of the best episodes in the series.

Also that's famously the part where everyone who had read it before it came out said it turned to total shit and dropped it, so I don't think I'm alone. I will admit I never quite got to the "total shit", though.

Well, if you liked the first one watch this, it's great. The series definitely feels like it'd be better to binge on though, so maybe wait until it's over?

First episode was pretty meh, but I gave episode two a shot. They immediately introduce some girl who talks about how much every high school girl loves dicks, and I realized just how egregious the pandering was gonna be.

Grimoire of Zero
A show for furry fucks. Decent start.

Interested in where it'll go going forward. It's a concept I haven't seen a whole lot, but I'm not really sure if they can keep this interesting. Also Chinese, blech.

My Hero Academia Season 2
Pacing is still horrible, but it's fun so far. Another thing where if you liked S1 you'll like this, but if you weren't feeling the first one, this isn't looking to change much.

More Natsume, and I didn't have to wait 4 years this time. Yay.

Rage of Bahamut: Virgin Soul
New girl seems pretty cool. I'm more shocked at how a mobile game managed to get an anime sequel 3 years after the original. I've literally never seen this promoted, so I guess it must just be big in Japan.

Good first episode, but LtM is overhyping it pretty badly. Don't go in with super high expectations and you'll probably enjoy it.

I feel the GATE comparisons are fair even if GATE was a garbage show and this isn't so far. I am also more than a little worried that this is going to trip up on some things GATE managed to avoid, like inserting a lot of melodrama (I mean, this is TROYCA we're talking about here). For the time being I'll just say that yeah it's definitely one of the shows of the season to watch for sure.

apparently this was straight up written by Oreimo's author, which has left me with less than a vote of confidence. First episode was okayish, very worried about what I'm hearing about the second.

furries. I guess it's not complete trash. 3/10 at least not as bad as Liger Code 1945 or whatever that random furry OVA from december was called

90% disappointed with this. 10% of me can't help but think that performance was cool though. still dropping.

WorldEnd/SukaSuka/impossibly long LN title
also furries but less so. it certainly has quite a budget, though the directing is questionable. Opening on two montages was a bit much, especially when they didn't really reveal what the show was really about until the end of the episode. 5/10 wow these Barakamonlikes are getting carried away

Have not heard good things about the rates in that game though.

Now the question is, will we be on a brand new server or are they just gonna add an English language to the already existing server in Japan?

I still pick up a few shows every now and then, but I've mostly been off of following a bunch of shows. The only thing I even saw from Winter was the first episode of Dragon Maid and all of Ai Mai Mi "lol".

I've already seen Cromartie High School actually, but I didn't list it since I don't think it's all that similar to the shows I described despite also being a comedy taking place in high school. Pretty good show though.

Anyways I watched episode 1 of This Art Club Has a Problem. (Is there a shortened title?) Relatively solid starting episode, though I think they need to hurry up and introduce these other cast members who are in the OP and ED.

finished konosuba season 1, I agree that it got kind of worse as it went on but was still always good. was the succubus episode the one you guys called weak? that was probably the worst I thought.

Yeah, I found the succubus episode to be legit bad, but that's the only time in the series I felt that way. Season 2 is pretty strong throughout, aside from one episode that's just kinda decent.

Also, dropping King's Avatar. Spends too much time in fantasy land to live up to the unique premise.

Yeah the succubus episode was pretty awful, and I thought the final episode (of S1) was somewhat underwhelming also.

Overall I thought season 2 was weaker than season 1, but it was more or less a return to form after those last two episodes from season 1.
