Just a little topic series I was thinking of running to see just how long I'm willing to put up with it. The premise is simple: every day, ten Pokemon will be up for voting, you vote for your favorite. The top FIVE advance to the next day, where they'll face five new Pokemon. And then we see what can last the longest. Like I said, I'll probably get bored at some point, but until then, let's see if we can get through Gen I at least, shall we?

Also, feel free to discuss opinions and predictions and whatnot.

So yeah, that first paragraph says ten characters, but it's gonna be considerably less than that for the new few days as we count down to crowning our Gen I champion! Each day from now on, one Pokemon will be eliminated until our final two square off. As for day 29, even though all our returning champions advanced, that does NOT mean it was a runaway. Mewtwo pushed it to a tiebreaker, and while he got blown out THERE, just getting to that point takes some serious effort. But yeah, we enter the final phase of this section of the gauntlet with our final six!

Arcanine, who just tied Nidoking's second place record for longest lasting Pokemon, and depending on the next few rounds shake out, could steal the iron man from Squirtle.

Vaporeon, the second Pokemon to outright make the final six without needing to go to a tiebreaker.

Jolteon, Vaporeon's fellow Eeveelution that dominated the tiebreaker round to advance.

Snorlax, the dark horse that has honestly defied my expectations to make this endgame.

Articuno, the only legendary bird to make it through a round.

And Mew, the final member of the Gen I roster, sneaking in at the end for a shot at the Gen I title.

This was fun, though I do think it should have been random which Pokemon entered each day rather than the next five. Any chance we can do that in future generations?

This isn't even the most votes this topic series has gotten. Plus, it could also be more urgent now that the numbers are dwindling, rather than "only five will be eliminated."
