Just finished up Iron Fist.

Ward ended up easily being my favorite character followed by Harold. That motherfucker could make some tense scenes, he reminded me of a more unhinged Osborne.
Danny ranged from alright to couldn't stand him and the rest of the cast was decent.

100% agree that the Joy/Davos setup seems to make absolutely no sense at all for Joy and I really hope they decide to ditch that plotline.

Overall is was decent, would put it at the bottom of the Netflix shows for sure though

Watching Flash now and omg I'm dying, the comedy is flawless. Had to pause and cry from Kara's "Why not?! There's no place like home!" and the awkward staring off that followed.

Why are non-Flash characters always at their best when they're in Flash?! I've been hating Kara all throughout Supergirl's 2nd season!

How does Vandal Savage's immortality work? I've been sitting here thinking they could just solve this problem by "killing him" and before he completely heals cutting his body up into pieces and scattering them across the Earth or through time so he can't reform.

For all they know, they'd just end up with like 5 Vandal Savages.

What about having Barry throw him into the speedforce or having Firestorm like break him down on an atomic level or something? I'm still like 6-7 episodes into S1 and just thinking of ways they could try to get rid of him quicker.

That is S1 Legends biggest problem. Using Vandal as a season long villain meant they had to not defeat him earlier but it was so ridiculous that they couldn't and the scenarios that he escaped was just ridiculous.

S2 Legends has been much better at that.

Okay, this musical episode of Flash is really bad. I'm halfway through but they could have done so many more fun things with the idea of Music Meister and this is what they came up with? A bunch of romance nonsense that barely has anything to do with anything else in the show? Like really. Why even use all of these actors if they're just going to be stand-in a for other made up characters?

You can't tell me that Music Meister can't just have the ability to make people break out in song when he's trying to be apprehended? Mix some Legends plot in there if you're trying to include guys from that.

This is just very disappointing, even if there's some cute stuff in here and the music is good. It's just like... Why not do something really cool with the idea of superheroes forced to dance and sing instead of powerless people being people singing about romance? They could have, and should have, done a lot better with this.

If Vandal Savage was as much of a threat as he was made out to be in the Arrow/Flash crossover beforehand, the kind where they had to really work to beat him because he could almost effortlessly murder the casts of both shows combined, it would have worked a lot better.

Instead they made him someone that they routinely went toe-to-toe with and came out on top of more than half the time they fought him and he only got away through contrivances.

Pretty dumb on their part imo.



Also I finally decided to watch/catch up on this season of Arrow and I just did so. It's definitely much improved from season 4, thank god. Still a couple of missteps Dinah existing, for one but its way more enjoyable than the last two seasons.

Man, it was driving me crazy during the episode trying to figure out where I recognized the first song that Kara sang from. Turns out they use it in Bayonetta 2.

Just watched the Flash musical ep.

Bit disappointed. The setup was fine and everything but the music worked as an episode, IMO. Needed more original songs (including one that didn't suck because Super Friends sucked).

The bit at the end with Barry and Iris was cute though.

I think Super Friends is the one I see the most praise for.

Chapter 7 was the best episode of Legion yet, and that's saying something.

That silent movie sequence. Oliver is an awesome character, completely steals the show anytime he's onscreen.

So Music Meister...is he like a 4th wall comic fan with powers? That's what I took away from his appearance, but I don't really know anything about him as a character.

Well, in the Arrowverse he's just a deus ex machina looking out for super heroes across all dimensions with powers to send people into a coma dream world. Which is so unbearably dumb, especially when Supergirl just have Mr. Mxy who was essentially the same, but bad. And his totally contrived plot to get Barry and Kara to get back with their SOs who broke up for the flimsiest reasons.

He's really supposed to be a guy who controls people through song and forces them to sing and dance because he gets off on controlling people and basically being able to get what he wants.

Like, I get that it's cool that we have singing people, but they're singing normal people, not super heroes, and none of the characters involved with the musical part of the episode were actually their own characters, just a dumb punchline for them to go "Oh hey you're x. LOL Wait I mean not x." There were so many better ways to do this, and I don't understand why this is what they went with. It sucked all the fun of superheroes from the episode.

The thing about Music Meister is that he's a DC Comics character but he's not a comics character. So make of that what you will.

I think it was a fairly entertaining setup that would have been fine (maybe not great, but enjoyable enough) if it wasn't a musical episode. I generally have much higher standards for when shows do those.

Blame nearly every one I've seen being excellent, I guess.

Legion is so fucking good.

Part of me wishes that in the latest Arrow episode SPOILERS Prometheus had killed Artemis.

It was a really good "gotcha" moment though, fooled me!

Yeah, though I shouldn't have fallen for it. Also Lance's actor got listed for this episode despite not appearing at all. It apparently happens from what I hear though. He must've been busy telling people the mayor was on vacation
