CAST IT! involves the idea that a live action movie is being produced based on a comic/show/game/etc. Casting actors to play the major characters in the film.

Rules:

Each of the specified characters must be cast. Whatever actor gets the most votes for each will be the winner. Ties will be determined by whichever got the votes first. Topics will end when there is a decent amount of votes (ideally 24-48 hours, assuming it succeeds). Characters aside from the ones listed may also be cast if there are multiple votes for them, but the ones listed must be.

You may change your vote at any time, and are in fact encouraged to do so if it helps find the best fit for the role.

Note: I know there are already live-action Resident Evil movies, but they're barely based on the games and leave out most major characters.

Bautista literally just has to look imposing and say S.T.A.R.S.! You don't need Anthony Hopkins for that.

Phillipe, he plays a good, straight-forward soldier-type which is what Chris is to me.

Wesker's the hardest one here to cast I think. Fassbender isn't a bad choice, but I personally think Ellis could really sell Wesker's sinister and intelligent personality.

I could imagine a Nightcrawler-esque Jake Gyllenhaal as Wesker, though I'm not sure how he'd pull off the super soldier aspect of it

I need to toss these over in my head more. I like Boreanez as Chris but I'm not 100% sold on even my own nominations for several.

And unfortunately I'm not enough of a fan of the series to really put input on some of the optional secondary characters.

ooh what about Bill Skarsgård as Wesker? My biggest worry with him is that he's young for the role at 26, but other than that he'd be a good fit

Johnbobb spitting out 2 Hemlock Grove reps! Landon's got that perfect RE2 look for Leon, for whatever reason though I don't see him fitting. Amell brings that perfect balance of RE4 Leon's humor and confidence mixed with RE2's Leon rookie role and sort of naive innocence in protecting the innocent and believing himself to still be a cop despite the situation.

I guess I can see Landon going too serious with the role and not really bringing anything to make it pop.

I mean Stephen Amell is a solid actor, but I guess just because of Arrow when I picture him, I picture the hardened vigilante type, which I feel works for Chris but it's hard to imagine him with Leon's gently flowing blond locks xD

Then again, I haven't played RE6 so I don't know how Leon potentially changes post-RE4

Also, this conversation aspect is a big part of what I wanted to happen with the series. Anyone else is more than welcome to chip in their thoughts with what they think works or doesn't work.

The polls worked fairly well with the Pokemon tiebreakers, so that's nice to fall back on, but I'd like to avoid having them all end up as polls to avoid spamming the board with them.

Also also, what themes do you guys want to see moving forward? I've been trying to choose some of the most easily-recognizable ones. Since there are so few participants, I'm looking to avoid any that the few we have here won't know anything about (which was part of the issue with 999; everyone voted it in the poll but then the actual participants didn't know or care about it)
