Currently the Twins have the worst record in their division but the best run differential, and the Tigers have the best record but the worst run differential

Cespedes will miss "2-3 days", so he will miss the nats series
Also the nats are getting back trea turner, jayson werth, and daniel murphy for that series

mets lost another extra inning heartbreaker, to the fuckin nats no less. that makes I think the last 6 losses were all extra inning/lost in final at bat/came back only to get comeback on/etc etc....

oh and also Duda and Flores went to the DL, also Asdrubal was hurt before the game tonight and also deGrom was supposed to start and got scratched because of a stiff neck. Supposed to pitch tomorrow but hahahahahahahha yeah right.

Feel free to not read my posts I guess, but I need to vent about my team when bad shit happens to them, it's how I cope.

And yeah we lead in the 8th inning or later in each of games 1 4 and 5 and we lost all 3. Game 1 especially was like Game 6 except much more drawn out since it was a game tying home run given up instead of winning. It became a walkoff only after going through several more excruciating innings. And games 4 and 5 we had won if not for awful errors. I mean yeah shit happens and all but it's still a shitty was to lose world series games especially when you are leading late in all 3 of those games you wind up losing. I suppose it's not quite on the level of being 1 strike away from winning it all but it's now a similar thing in 3 games instead of 1. Like all the little things went their way in the ws and none went ours. So each loss we had except 1 was close and heartbreaking so I think it's fair to say we both know about that, no?

Anyway I apologize if my "bitching" isn't what you want to see but I feel it's warranted and bitching about sports is a big part of it

Yeah ill agree that post was a bit much. That was probably the most frustrated ive been with the game in a while. We lost like 3 games in a row im their final at bat. Excruciating. I think other than that its been more "normal". Yeah i bitch and mope a lot but isnt that what we do when our team is letting us down? Especially when you have high expectations? I know I do it a lot, like after each loss bit I at least think this discussion is usually reasonable. I've been trying to at least be better in being discussive about it but I'm still going to mope when the team performs as it has been or while the injury but continues to strike cuz man it's just bad right now

I can understand the urge to complain when it's bad (God knows I've done my share of bitching about the Rangers pitching, and Dyson specifically in this very topic), but all negative all the time works for exactly nobody. Especially when your expectations are unrealistically high to begin with <_<

Well to start the expectations began with being much less injured than last year which was an insane amount of injury. We are almost on par with the worst stretch of last year,both injury and performancewise and that was in july/August last year and it's not even past April now!

Machado slid in spikes high and took out Pedroia. I don't really think he meant to do that. Pedroia doesn't either. I loved his reaction to it.

I mean, yeah he got his spikes up and it injured Pedroia, so they should throw at him. But if you can't get a guy square in the thigh or back, don't do it.

Buck and Britton can shut up if they're gonna sound whiny about it. Farrell and Barnes going against Pedroia sends the wrong message. This is going to be an annoying summer. Especially when the Yanks win the division.

the slide seemed pretty accidental imo. His foot bumped up when he hit the base. I guess it was a little late but not that late and definitely a legal slide.

But they're never gonna suspend people for dirty slides anyway. They already set their own precedent by not suspending the dirtiest "slide" in the history of dirty slides

Short of someone pulling a pistol out of their pants during a slide and murdering the second baseman
