I already said why I'm asking about it. I think this scenario makes some sense:

Random guy unfamiliar with mercs joins game
Sees pjbasis on scum safelist

Thinks pjbasis = miller makes sense cause of pjbasis miller joke gag. Jumps on it asap cause early miller claims have tended to go unchallenged lately (well, in CT it did anyway-- can't speak for others). Backpedals when flavor speculation exposes likely theme for scum, and a sensible theme for any millers that isn't a b8mafia reference and wouldn't be super obvious to anyone unless they'd played mercs, even if they'd gathered admins = scum.

If it was actually an obvious joke I would have taken it as one. As is I'm still not convinced it was supposed to be and would like more opinions from people as to whether I'm crazy or not.

(Salt grain post is in your favor and why I'm prodding for details rather than voting based on it-- as I think that would be your only (other, I guess?) funny post in the game. Still think your delivery needs a lot of work if that actually was a joke.)

if PJbasis is not a big Mercs player, its important to know who would or would not know that he could be part of the flavor
and if Ben never played Mercs before, I wonder how he knew to use PJbasis as a flavor
if he knew it at all before he made the joke

I was asleep then, and on page1 I just assumed everyone knew it was a joke (and nobody talked about it seriously)

Thoughts in general:

-Ulti seems like typical overconfident town Ulti (though to be fair it's been a long time since playing with scum Ulti)
-Using activity to determine scumness on D1 before the last like 8-10 hours is the DUMBEST argument, regardless of who it's from, and that makes me suspicious of the people on Leo
-Still trying to figure out how to read Chris but he rubs me the wrong way
-Does Kanz play mafia? His actions last night make me feel displeased with him.

I'm on Leo because Town Leo leaves a mark, even on day 1, and this Leo has not. There's still time of course, but that's what my pressure vote is for. Sucks if he's mafia because I was really looking forward to playing with him

So these are the two posts I found, involving Ulti claiming. They are not as contradictory as I first thought they were, but they still leave me uneasy on his consistency. The fact that he accentuates the "bad" in the first post absolutely leads me to believe he was implying the result would be much worse than a "roleblock" result. With the second post he claims to be warning that it would just be a waste of time, hardly worth an all caps "bad" if you ask me.
