For me it's the monsters and fusions but yeah the waifu element is what appeals to many of its fans. Personally I'd rather have a current gen console SMT in the vein of Nocturne but you take what you can get

If the entire reason you're playing Persona is for the waifus, you're probably going to be pretty disappointed. Just play an eroge or something.
