Vancouver is composed of many "cities," but Vancouver itself isn't top 5.

Edmonton, becasue it is so far north and remote compared all the others.
Props to those who live there.

This is a pretty dumb poll without Vancouver.

You should feel bad.

It would make no sense to include areas that are not part of cites as part of cities.

This isn't a poll of "Largest census metropolitan areas" no it's a poll of "Most populated cities" and that is fine.

The concept of what a city is can get way arbitrary though

One side of that road is Vancouver. The other side is Burnaby, a city with one third the population of Vancouver. The only difference is property tax (and Burnaby is slightly more liberal and religious)

Totally! The ruling party of BC is the Liberal party, and they're conservatives! The Conservative Party of BC is completely irrelevant, with less support than the BC Greens, even though we had a decade of Conservative Party rule at the national level.

Burnaby is slightly younger and politically has a history of supporting progressive social democrats. It also has a larger Christian Asian population, but also more Indo-Canadians as well

I wanted to vote Vancouver. I feel like that would be an awesome place to live. Climate seems like I'd like it and I'd rather live in Canada than the US.
