http://mgaleg.maryland.gov/webmga/frmStatutesText.aspx?article=gcj&section=10-401&ext=html&session=2017RS&tab=subject5

"(8) “Electronic, mechanical, or other device” means any device or electronic communication other than: (i) Any telephone or telegraph instrument, equipment or other facility for the transmission of electronic communications, or any component thereof, (a) furnished to the subscriber or user by a provider of wire or electronic communication service in the ordinary course of its business and being used by the subscriber or user in the ordinary course of its business or furnished by the subscriber or user for connection to the facilities of the service and used in the ordinary course of its business; or (b) being used by a communications common carrier in the ordinary course of its business, or by an investigative or law enforcement officer in the ordinary course of his duties; or
(ii) A hearing aid or similar device being used to correct subnormal hearing to not better than normal."

http://caselaw.findlaw.com/md-court-of-special-appeals/1674568.html - "The Maryland Wiretap Act, moreover, prohibits only interceptions that occur “through the use of any electronic, mechanical, or other device.” CJP § 10–401(3). Since a cell phone is not a “device,” under the Wiretap Act, as it specifically excludes “telephone” from the statutory definition of “electronic, mechanical, or other device,” see id. § 10–401(4), messages found in the victim's cell phone are not covered by the Act and therefore are not subject to exclusion under the strictures of the Act."

http://openjurist.org/493/f2d/346/united-states-v-harpel - "The government has adopted the position of the trial court below that the intercepting device was the recorder and not an extension telephone. While such a view avoids the problem presented, we are simply not persuaded by this contention. We agree with appellant that the recording of a conversation is immaterial when the overhearing is itself legal. It is the means whereby the contents of the conversation are acquired that is crucial. See State v. Vizzini, 115 N.J.Super. 97, 278 A.2d 235. A recording device placed next to, or connected with, a telephone receiver cannot itself be the 'acquiring ' mechanism. It is the receiver which serves this function-- the recorder is a mere accessory designed to preserve the contents of the communication. This interpretation comports squarely with the clear distinction drawn between 'intercepting' and 'recording' under 18 U.S.C. 2518(8)(a), which deals with judicially authorized interceptions:"

https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/2518 - "(8) (a) The contents of any wire, oral, or electronic communication intercepted by any means authorized by this chapter shall, if possible, be recorded on tape or wire or other comparable device. The recording of the contents of any wire, oral, or electronic communication under this subsection shall be done in such a way as will protect the recording from editing or other alterations. Immediately upon the expiration of the period of the order, or extensions thereof, such recordings shall be made available to the judge issuing such order and sealed under his directions. Custody of the recordings shall be wherever the judge orders. They shall not be destroyed except upon an order of the issuing or denying judge and in any event shall be kept for ten years. Duplicate recordings may be made for use or disclosure pursuant to the provisions of subsections (1) and (2) of section 2517 of this chapter for investigations. The presence of the seal provided for by this subsection, or a satisfactory explanation for the absence thereof, shall be a prerequisite for the use or disclosure of the contents of any wire, oral, or electronic communication or evidence derived therefrom under subsection (3) of section 2517."

Why is it counter-intuitive? I'll ask again, and rephrase my previous question:

Do you have a particular need for keeping your recordings secret from the person being recorded WHILE it is being recorded (not AFTER, when you upload it)? Why not just tell everyone and be done with it? What is your motive for keeping them from knowing at the moment?

But if knowing you are recording them puts them in their best behavior, isn't that a good thing? You want to catch them doing something bad, instead of ensuring that they don't do something bad.

Reading is great. But you know what's way better and far more important? Being capable of figuring things out when they're not stated explicitly, or when there's a small error.

If someone hands you a sheet of paper with a typo on it and your brain goes into gridlock trying to work it out, you're severely limited by your issues and are in no position to brag.

That's not a problem for most. I took both meanings and could figure out that one clearly applies while the other does not. You took the wrong meaning and then instead of just dropping it when it was explained to you, you decided to focus on the typo completely and make subtle references to the one thing you can do well: read. And that's pretty pretty irrelevant to the larger discussion.

I won't be saying much else to you though. Although you can read you clearly are pretty awful at understanding. Whether it has anything to do with your mental illness is not relevant as the strategy is the same for me: do not disturb.

Only one cop cradled my head and actually stopped me from doing damage. Your claim about them holding me back from "killing myself" (your words) and only one cop did anything in which that could have been an issue, hence why "cops" is incorrect. Headbashing itself won't kill me, it's how hard it is being hit, what is being hit, and where it is being hit. I only sent one thank you and that was to Molineux. That was for a reason.

"Cops" is plural. The only one who did anything was Molineux. Mikash (who the main grievances are about) did fuckall but stand there and watch.

You didnt answer my question. How were the cops holding you back from killing yourself doing anything bad even slightly?

Your question is flawed because only one cop helped with regards to that, not all, and definitely not the main one in which the grievances originated.

I watched the video and saw two cops restraining you as you fought against them. Lets add "serial liar" to your list of crimes.

One hit to the head can kill you easily. Them holding you back from hitting your head is literally saving your life. Just because you wont admit the cops saved your life multiple times that night doesnt make them "generally bad". You continue to fail at demonstrating your point.

The grievances are about the other cop refusing to give his name and badge number so Squader could file a complaint. And while that cop did in fact do something wrong, it ultimately wasn't worth the shitstorm he created as a result.

There was also going to be a grievance about the escalating language of the left officer due to him saying "Oh here we go with this already" the second I started my phone camera recording. It's not the police's job to condescend about 1st amendment protected activities nor is it professional. Given the circumstances it was nothing but escalatory.

I don't need to have a valid argument.

Don't you understand yet? You lost. Not just this situation but at life itself. You've fought cops and family and I will assume here friends. You can't go out in public without having a meltdown which is tough considering in a few days you won't have a place to live and will constantly be in public. But it shouldn't be too long you have to do that for seeing as how you're going to jail.

You have (probably) driven off anyone who cared about you.

You blame everyone else for your problems except yourself. Hint: (you're the problem)

But hey, you got in a couple month long argument about a bong and pot so that's cool. (Not really)

To quote Willy Wonka- You lose. Good day sir.

You do realize "electronic, mechanical, or other device" is defined statutorily and I have provided not only the relevant Marylan statute "10-401" along with the cited definition, I have also provided case law on the matter, correct? Basically your argument is bad and you either didn't read or failed to understand what you read.
