MM easily. I sure got sick of hearing about how "underrated" that game is. Maybe it's not like that as much now, but I still see people who come up with these absurd theories about the symbolism in the game. They're desperate to latch onto any idea that the game has some kind of deeper meaning that isn't present in any other Zelda games, just because its story and characters are different.

Anyone that doesn't like Majora's Mask.

Easily the best in the series and criminally underrated. I mean, it has such a deep and dark story and is much better than all the other Zeldas.

10/10 confirmed.

That's like the opposite of the steroetype for the fanbase, though. BotW broke the trend, but pretty much ever since MM the joke has been that the newest Zelda game is the worst, and then when something else comes out suddenly everyone loves it.

ocarina fans just have extreme rose-tinted classes for a game that really hasn't held up well.

majora's mask fans are just dismissive and argumentative. despite my fondness of the game, it's far from perfect, but fanboys will die on the hill for it. i remember once i told someone on this board i thought twilight princess was a good game, and they immediately said something along the lines of "lol twilight princess is tryhard dark, while mm is legit dark."

The only ones that have a notably insufferable fanbase are LoZ, OoT and MM. And even for LoZ, it's not so much that they are fans of that specifically, but that they think that non-linearity is the be-all, end-all of Zelda.

I would say the BotW fanbase.

You're speaking to an SS "superfan", you know.

As for WW and TP, I've definitely seen people who herald those games as the ultimate Zelda experience and fail to acknowledge their obvious flaws. I swear, anybody who wants the series to follow the grimy, lifeless art direction of TP just... loses all credibility with me.

i have only played TP and Ss, not a big zelda fan (tp was fun though) haven't even beaten ss because of that bs wii motion plus requirement. by the time i got that stupid thing i wasnt as interested in the game.
