It's basically eggs/milk/cinnamon/vanilla extract iirc. Just use good bread and cook it good enough.

You want a somewhat thick, dry slice of bread. That's the key. You can do everything else right but if you do that wrong you're fucked.

The bread matters the most imo. You need some good tasting bread.

I guess an expensive white bread?

2 eggs, couple hundred ml of milk, cinnamon and pepper is all that I use. I use thick cut white bread but sometimes I'll go with the 12 grain.

Look, here is all you need to do.

Take two slices of your favorite bread. Spread peanut butter on one and your favorite jelly on the other. Put them together making a PB&J sandwich. Whisk two eggs, 1/2 cup milk, 1 tsp. vanilla and a little cinnamon together. Drop the sandwich in this mixture, making sure both sides get covered.

Heat a small amount of butter in a skillet until melted and hot and then drop sandwich in, cook 2 minutes or so on each side until a nice crust has formed. A little longer for thicker slices of bread. Remove from heat.

*For added bonus, drop a little more butter into the skillet and toss in some sugar, cinnamon, and sliced apples and heat on medium heat until apples have softened. Pour mixture on top of sandwich.

** This is NOT for people who are watching their weight in any way, shape, or form.

Be SURE you use cinnamon. It works without it, but it's kinda bland.

This. You can also throw in nutmeg to the mixture if you like the taste and smell.

Mix, douse, fry.

And don't add raisins, they're little devils that ruin everything good with cinnamon in it.
