Science is well aware of it. People say the dumb have more children.

I think the trend will end when we have to face real overpopulation and people will have to get warrants for having children, where warrants will be given out based on your income. IQ tests would be too Orwellian. Eventually we'll just have to do that or face mass death by starvation while people de-evolve into monkeys.

Because let's face it, natural evolution can't happen when people aren't dying.

And, generally speaking, immigrant groups (which tend to have lower education) have always bred at a faster rate than the general population. Even within the hispanic community, the birth rate among immigrants is far higher than than native-born hispanics. However, for the native low-IQ population, keep in mind that their life expectancy tends to be lower (ie, the murder rate is higher among non-college grads) so it somewhat balances itself out.

I thought that at first too, but if you look at welfare it's kind of a system that just promotes bad genes. It flatlines at turning people into food eating crap making machines. I'm not saying pull out the rug and let them starve, I'm saying we should probably do something when it comes to that. Btw, I'm on welfare out of bad luck and unfortunate unlucky things lining up, so it's good for something.

The thing is smart people realize having 7 kids is more trouble than it's worth.

While, yes, the lower education populous generally has more children, we won't likely reach overpopulation. Education is slowly going up which in turn is slowly reducing birthrates. The UN expects the population of humans on Earth to cap out before it hits 12 billion and the population it starts going down.

Nigh-impossible in our current system. The welfare state incentivizes irresponsible idiots and lowlifes to reproduce at the expense of the responsible middle class. Politicians have long since realized that you accrue more votes by offering handouts to people who breed like stray cats. I think that's actually true.

Evolution works in a way where features flatline when they aren't needed. I don't think we can let people starve without some kind of revolt, I think to sustain civilized society we have to force evolution artificially in a more humane way than starvation.

We can never do that politically if we never overpopulate and reach a breaking point, so I think for the good of the world we need to reach an overpopulation crisis.

Yes, welfare systems can encourage dependency and complacency, thus diminishing its participants. However, even before welfare, the people at the bottom of society tended to breed faster than those at the top (and often didn't aspire higher than their station) so it's not like there's been that much of a change. Plus we can blame a lot of things for lowering the nation's intelligence, whether it's our terrible public schools, popular entertainment & technology creating a ADHD culture, or shifting demographics.

It's also not a matter of "stupid people having more children" but the fact that even a smart couple with more kids can't possibly devote as much time to each child. Small family sizes generally result in better outcomes for children, regardless of parental IQ or income.

Patently untrue. While people at the bottom did traditionally have more children, people in the middle had comparable amounts and those children tended to go on to be more productive members of society.

In modern American society, however, overzealous welfare expenditures at the expense of the middle class have resulted in middle class people being exceedingly likely to not reproduce because there's almost no support structure for people who are ineligible for welfare while not being very wealthy. The middle class have to foot the bill in just about every way, as they cannot afford to get away from the detriments created by the welfare state. Their kids suffer in public schools that are overburdened by children from welfare households, many of whom have developmental disabilities and behavioral issues that stem from being birthed and raised by irresponsible parents, many of which are drug addicts or just plain lazy people.

Middle class adults are continuously put on the hook to pay for things voted for by people who have nothing to lose and everything to gain by the policies implemented. In my area, for instance, the poorest people continually vote for increased expenditure on public services, such as public transport, homeless shelters and housing. And they always vote to have these expenditures paid for by increasing property taxes, which they do not pay. And since they outnumber middle class people due to breeding like stray cats, it creates a never-ending cycle that is doomed to collapse when the middle class are finally crushed under the burden of perpetually increasing regulations and taxes.

Yes but you can compare it to previous generations' results. That's what these studies are going off of.
