I'll agree on goku but vegeta's english voice is pretty shitty, it's just not natural and nobody sounds like that. The guy that does the japanese voice does a ton of voice work and is really great. He does a major character for xenoblade chronicles for example. To be fair Sabat matches the Japanese voice pretty spot on, it just doesn't sound as good in english. Vegeta and Piccolo have great Japanese voices, but it's weird to hear grown Goku sound like a middle-aged woman. And before anyone mentions his "child like mentality", Gohan and Krillin have the same issue. On the other hand, I watched Kill la Kill subbed originally, and the few dubbed clips I heard sounded weird as shit because I was so used to the Japanese VAs. There's also some inherent translation differences that could come up, which I noticed when I watched Ah My Goddess subbed first and then had to switch to subbed eps on Youtube once my service stopped carrying the eps.
