I for one will be playing later this evening and checking out all of the changes. Have been playing HotS since the early Alpha. This game has made so much progress and been polished to a fun and straightforward experience.

My friend mentioned this to me and is already asking another friend and me to play some games with me. Playing five Vs AI games is easy enough. Playing 15 vs human games though I am hesitant on. Between Quick Play, Unranked, and Ranked which tends to be the quickest? I plan to at least try and not throw the game intentionally but don't want a drawn out game either.

You can group up and complete missions in human vs. AI as long as you are in a team with friends. That's how I get my dailies done. Most matches are ~10 minutes.

Of those vs. human options I find ranked usually goes most quickly.

yeah mission 1 is doable vs. A.I., the others require different modes. I would recommend doing missions in Quick Match or Unranked. It's 5 matches in a week, so it shouldn't take too long to do it. The very longest match I played was 45 minutes and that was by a long shot. Even making it to 20 in Quick Match is atypical.

But I opened my chests today. Got to player level 135, got the announcer pack that I wanted.

Picked up the Support/Specialist mega bundle, because that got me 14 heroes.

Aye. Those quests were what I was referring to. I am kinda surprise Blizzard is not allowing Vs AI for all four quests when in the past all the quests have allowed for any type of gameplay. Maybe too many players abused the system and just played Vs AI on the easiest difficulty.

I wish I hadn't stopped playing this. I don't really play anything much anymore though.

From all of the chests I easily found a few hundred dollars worth of store items. I wanted the Brightwing announcer.

Ended up getting the Assassin bundle since it unlocked the most heroes for me. Get your mega bundle before opening any chests for max yield.

Nice. I got a chest Genji too!

When I get more gems I'm going to get BW announcer for sure.

It's worth rerolling veteran and epic chests if you don't get something you want. Every reroll has been a big improvement

What is the chance of getting a hero/skin in a loot box? I have just been getting announcers and banners. I have gold to spare but don't want to have too high of a hope and keep rolling.

If you unlock a hero in a chest and get the mega bundle with the same hero in it, you don't get anything extra for already having the hero.

If you had unlocked the hero (in the Mega pack or otherwise) and then opened the same hero in a chest then you get shards for the hero unlock.

Thank you for the explanation. I think my friend's reasoning was by unlocking more heroes via the chest you narrow down which bundle would give you the most heroes. Personally though I think I'll settle for the shards instead.

Pretty good. Depending on the type of chest. I unlocked 6 heroes in 50 chests and other than Genji they were ones I had.

I unlocked a lot of skins. Previously when you bought skins you got 3 color variants. So any you had before are unlocked in all the colors now. New skins are single colors. It's more like overwatch. From chests I got a few dozen skins. I also got 8 new mounts.

Yeah if you don't have many heroes that could be worthwhile. But you get the bundle ones free and get nothing if you have a duplicate so I suggest that before opening chests.

Two friends and I did Quick Play for the first time and it was actually fun. I think the first three games had players who seemed new as they didn't run away from our attacks. I was killing players with Murky's melee attack. Fourth game actually had one or two players who knew what they were doing so we had to play smarter there.

By the fifth game the opposing team definitely knew what they were doing. Didn't help that my friends and I were less coordinated and I was getting cocky. I thought I could sneak in with Sylvanas but unlike the previous games, they didn't ignore me. Our two teammates said they were new and after it was obvious we weren't going to win they left the game. My two friends and I stayed in the game and made the opposing team fight for every foot they gained. I was surprise we survived three 100% Zerg swarms in Braxis Holdout before losing. I had expected us to lose a bit faster with two AIs on our team and a full Zerg rush.

Last game had a Chromie that my friends and I were just getting annoyed with. Before losing the game us three just rushed that player but somehow killed that Chromie along with a Muradin and L-Ming. I don't know if they just got careless or it was a pity death.

I still need to do the 5 for Officer D.Va, Wish I could do them against the AI rather than other players though, since I know me being a newb will get me killed and make the other team suffer cause of it....

Also, D.Va being added to HotS?!, Hello new character to use a lot....

It's OK! New players are a part of life. You'll pick up on things in time. I am happy to play with any newbies and don't mind at all.

The matchmaking for QM is usually OK about balancing teams. Communication and sticking together is what really helps a lot in the game.
