Current Events > Anyone else just doesn't like live music all that much?

Like shows and concerts and EDM's

i went to one, idk if it was just a bad experience and left a bad taste in my mouth. But ever since i've been weary of live shows. Dont get me wrong I like the music.


Anyways I went to a Nujabes tribute show in LA. Shing02(the guy who rapped Battlecry) and the DJ's and spinmaster were great

but the first half the show was awful and full of singers i've never heard before, and singers that have no style relating to nujabes at all. And it took 3 hours to get to the good part, by the time we get to Shing we've been standing for 3 hours and tired af and just wanted it to end already


i'd assume Coachella and Laloapalooza are similar experiences. I'd rather not stand for 6 hours in a crowd waiting for my favorite artist to appear after all these shitty no-named artists.

like....I guess i want to show up to the venue, and watch my favorite band or artist immediately.

I dont want to sit through all this trash beforehand

I loved watching Garth Brooks live. Amazing concert. I guess you're talking about concerts where there's multiple musicians. I've only been to one concert like that. It was okay because 80% of the artists I liked and the ones I didn't like I took a break to get food.

You judged all live shows based off of the one show that you went to?

I really dont give 2 shits about the whole "show" like dancing, lights, action, crowd, etc. But I love hearing good singers live. Theres a big difference between hearing someone live in the same room vs live with a mic vs on a recorded track. The recording never does justice to the singer.

I honestly don't like it when it's a huge band, with standing room only, and there's 3 hours of bands playing before them. That's actually kinda pure misery imo.

But I love just chilling and enjoying small performances, local bands and stuff. That's great.
