Also, who the fuck do you think you're talking to? Classic Sonic in Generations was a watered down version of the Genesis games; mediocre, at best. If that's the best they can do here, they shouldn't bother with Classic Sonic at all. Generations and Forces' engine(s) is clearly more suited for the Modern Sonic gameplay.

I'll grant you 4 games (Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic CD, Sonic 4 and Sonic Generations) that start off with a level that's basically Green Hill.

Every other mainline Sonic game (Sonic 3, Sonic & Knuckles, Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Heroes, Sonic 2006, Sonic Unleashed, Sonic Colors and Sonic Lost World)? No. Some of them start off with levels similar to Green Hill (Heroes and Lost World), but different enough to not be a knockoff.

I hate this comment. For one, it's a single level in a game with likely dozens of levels. Second, no one ever seems to berate Mario for having a castle or generic grassy area #20 in damn near ever Mario platformer.

That being said, that gameplay footage heavily deflated my hype. Looks so damn dull, especially in comparison to Mania. I just hope the rest of the game picks up.
