The ones that let you trade games, but you had to pick from a wall of shit games that were deemed the same value?
I think the local one was called Play and Trade. I got classic games such as Croc, and No One Can Stop Mr. Domino! from these places <_<. Also I was going to post EB Games or Funcoland in the topic title, but I'm not sure how antiquated those stores are and if they ever were as big as gamestop. --- http://i.imgur.com/FlUFXoG.png - by Eulu PSN:nayr909 ... I don't think so.
And EB Games and GameStop were or are the same thing, if they weren't then they merged at some point in time, since my account was dual EB Games and GameStop and it worked for both, though I don't know the legalities of what took place if they were actually two separate companies before or just the same company with two different outlets. --- Leaving GameFAQs in 3 days, thank you for the memories <3 https://www.scribd.com/document/340746101/Arguments ... Yeah some mom and pop store. Had lots of good deals on game boy games, and some of the earlier gba games.

Nope. The only thing close to that we had in my area in south carolina was a funcoland in columbia. My town/county didn't get a reliable used video game place until electronics boutique came along in all it's majestic glory in the late 90s. Before then, our only other options was pawn shops or flea markets.

Funcoland.
But the chain was bought out by GS years ago, and since it was a chain it doesn't necessarily count to begin with. There were some import game stores I used to hit up all the time in NYC. Game Express, J&L, and that store across from J&L in that mall basement thing. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Yeah we had an independent one from back in the SNES days that still exists today that also had import stuff and collectors items etc. I remember my brother getting the Japanese version of Street Fighter 2 Turbo on the SNES for a crazy price before it was available here!
