Probably like 5? Pretty sure it was Donkey Kong Country in preschool. It's possible I played my uncle's NES (Mario 2 and/or Dr. Mario) before that, though.

The first game I remember playing is Tiny Toons on Sega Genesis at my friend's house in kindergarten, which would put me at 5 or 6.

My parents bought the SNES when my sister was 4 or 5. And they'd hand me controller 2 and let me push buttons thinking I was playing without the controller being plugged in. But I assume that at some point in that year I actually provided input to at least one game.

I think I was like 2 or 3. The first couple games I remember playing are Mouse Stampede (a shareware Centipede clone for the original black&white Macintosh) and Ducks Ahoy on Commodore 64. We had a bunch of old Atari and Intellivision stuff from before I was born too, who knows when I might have first gotten my hands on that.

I think I was 3 or 4. The earliest memory I have is of some fighting arcade game (Street Fighter I think). However, my mom told me that I played a game with my nephew when I was 3 or 4 (yes, my family tree is broken) that was a "flying game" probably with animal characters. Since he had an SNES and since it was around 1993, I'm just going to assume that I played Star Fox.

And apparently my nephew got mad at me because I sucked at that game. I didn't care much for it when I played it at an older age, either. I probably still suck at it. Oh well.

If I didn't know that you were the same age as me I would have said this was probably Diddy Kong Racing but that came out years later.

I learned how to read playing Final Fantasy Mystic Quest on the SNES and Pokemon Red. This was basically why I became a huge nerd instead of developing charisma. Thanks, video games!

2, playing educational games on an Apple II. not sure if i played any real game then, but definitely by the time i was 3. Arkanoid, some overhead shooter, and some NES games at friend/relative/babysitter's places.

Earliest gaming memory I have is playing Pitfall on my parents' Atari 2600. I must have really liked it though because I had an NES all to myself shortly after.
