Yes No View Results 5 Christian Professors in Texas wore Bandanas, Hoodies and Gold Chains and one holding a GUN to his chest in a bizarre photo released an effort to dress up like RAPPERS as part of a "going away" celebration for one of their own!! Several people didn't find the joke funny after Barry McCarty shared it from the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary as he first provided context after being accused of being racist in their stereotypical representation of what rappers look like and finally backing down and removed it and apologized It was titled "Notorious S.O.P" that were scrawled behind men in a play to the rapper Notorious BIG which they said stood for Notorious School of Preaching. McCarty, David Allen and 3 other took part of a going away celebration to Dr. Vern Charette who has been known to rap at his sermon. Vern can be seen on a youtube video dedication with his lyrics of "all my pimps, players, thugs and hustlers and all my boys that are in lockdown. I want you know there is an answer. His name is Jesus Christ. And that's why i'm here tonight" David realized that their joke fell flat when people called it "tone deaf" and "offensive" and "racist". He said "i apologize for the recent image which was offensive. Context is immaterial" New York Daily News senior justice writer, Shaun King asid "It's not just that you posted it.
