When does your week start?

Personally, I say Monday. Saturday and Sunday are considered the weekend, and workweeks usually start on Monday. What say you?

Sunday is part of the weekend. end. As if the end of the week.

I think it's pretty self-explanatory that Monday is the first day of the week.

Weekends are Saturdays and Sundays. They're like bookends in that they're at the start and finish. So the week starts on Sunday.

He's just being Shenti; life is hard for a twink. My GF and I were talking about it earlier, and she said Sunday. I've had this debate with others throughout my life, and it's usually split down the middle.

This can't even be a question. Sunday is the first day of the week. Always has been. Monday is the first typical work day. Better called "business day".

In before "Then why 'weekend'!?" Why do I drive on a parkway and park on a driveway? I don't know.

i would love to see you even attempt to call me a twink to my face. i don't even know you but i can tell based on a few context clues that you wouldn't even be able to get past "twi--" before stuttering and realizing what a grave mistake finishing the word would be

i'll be waiting though, bud

It's Sunday. No argument there whatsoever. Monday may be the start of the work week, but Sunday is on the left of a calendar for a reason. You don't get to say it's not the start of a week just because you want to.

Before you say "It's a weekend though", you drive in a parkway, park in a driveway, Greenland is ice and Iceland is green. Words don't always make or break something.

In general Monday is the start of the work week for most folk and the weekend being Saturday and Sunday so that's what I follow. No point classing Sunday as part of a weekend if it is infact the start of a week.

Saturdays and Sundays are weekend days. If you have a line with a beginning and end, it really has two "ends" to it, it's just that something (time in this case) flows from one end to the other. Think of something like a cable. Doesn't a cable have two ends? Weeks are like that. So yes, Sunday is one end, and Saturday is the other.

I always heard it was a Christian thing, though it was always weird since in religion the Christians are supposed to abstain from work on the Sabbath and that was supposed to be the last day of the week, yet it's always Sunday where that happened.
I dunno I'm not a devout so I could be wrong :p

International standard is Monday.

Sunday was originally considered the first day of the week for religious reasons, But the whole thing from when it started (Egypt) to now is a mess. Like of a lot of things based on religion.

I've always thought of Monday as the first day. But for most of the last 20 years the only calendar I ever saw was maintenance or production schedules, which started on Monday.

When I was younger, I had to go to church a lot and I always counted sunday as the start as you were starting the week with God. Also that bookend comment is how I saw it too.

However, now that I'm an adult and don't go to church anymore, I don't care.

Sunday because that's what calendars look like.

That's also why I voted for Sunday. Also, to me it makes more sense to have the sun and moon days right next to each other in a given week.

I guess to some people it would make sense to start the week with the moon day and end the week with the "opposite", the sun day; but I at least always say "sun and moon", not "moon and sun", so it feels wrong to have the sun day at the end.
