It's like "Lie to Me". If you watch a show that fake explains a lot of spycraft to you, it makes you feel like you know how to be a spy. Lie to Me makes you feel like you too can be a professional lie detector.

I understand that's what they were going for, but to me, it honestly felt more like "we think you're too stupid to actually understand what you're seeing, here, we'll explain it as we show you." Then it's something stupid like putting phone books in your door.
