Like I think there are some people who have a habit of dating really mean/manipulative/cheating/abusive/mysogynistic guys. What is it about girls/guys who have a way of attracting these types? Because obviously not all guys are like that, but somehow they always seem to gravitate to some people

well i dont mean why do they succeed at getting people, obviously they can be charismatic, funny, attractive, etc.

i think for a lot of people it is a reflection of how their parents/guardians/people close to them treated them or what they saw.

Vulnerability. Bad people seek vulnerable people usually with no self esteem or some other issues who will put up with them or because they can easily manipulate them.Therefore they attract this type of person more often. I don't think most seek to be hurt, imo and experience anyway.
