I honestly hate using either, but my Firefox defaults to Yahoo search for some reason, and Microsoft likes to push Bing onto people who use their products. Yahoo is actually tolerable, though I hate how clicking search results will open them in a new tab. However, I can't stand their maps feature.

I never find what I am looking for with duckduckgo. Though Google isn't much better these days, and I don't like Microsoft's policies. Also Yahoo is owned by Comcast or something now isn't it? Kind of defaults it to shit-tier.

why would anyone use google. They monitor and record your search history and then sell it to 3rd parties, so that they in turn can do direct marketing to you.

Bing is actually been better for my chemistry searchs than google recently. Kind of surprising. I still mainly use google, but bing might be better than google soon.

I'm considering switching for the rewards.

I use Bing for searches and Gmail for my email. As great as Google is and as impressive as they can be, I don't like the idea of them using their insane amounts of money to buy everything and basically trying to end up practically BECOMING the internet.
