Sounds more like "This person best represents our interests so we should vote for them" which is, y'know, the whole point of an election.

well he needs to rationalize the loss somehow. it couldn't possibly be because the majority of french people simply don't want le pen. that would be too unbelievable because the circlejerks of /pol/ and the donald subreddit said that le pen absolutely will win
