I haven't really gotten a clear answer on whether it's actually confirmed if Squeenix is adding more updates to the main game, but I feel it's best to just keep waiting anyway.

pretty sure there isn't going to be any more main quest add ons. We got the extra bits for chapter 13 which ended up being selectable form the main menu and not integrated into the main game itself
still a load of DLC from the season pass to go though as we only got Episode Gladiolus so far. Still waiting on the episodes that have been announced plus there's still the co-op multiplayer mode coming that they've barely said anything about and the VR mode that's also coming --- ... Well if you want to get it out of the way, it's very short without sidequesting. However, the game is a much better experience if you do. It has moments of tedium (lots of load times), but it will be far more satisfying kwowing the world and its characters (even if there aren't many great ones).
