I really enjoy the game, but maybe it's because I've played through the A path that the B path isn't as engaging to me.

like, I enjoy the added context to the story, but those bits feel a little far and in between so far.

It might be in part because 9S's gameplay isn't very engaging compared to 2B's. At least in my eyes. His melee is gimped meaning you have to rely on hacking...and those hacking minigames kinda get repetitive quickly.

I've heard that the B route is the least engaging of them all. Which makes sense, considering that you're mostly just repeating the same beats with slight variation or cute little references based on your choices in A route.

It's not only a repeat playthrough, but as a character with gameplay not as engaging as the first time you've played it. So yeah. Route B's probably my least favorite part of the game.

Like It was super obvious that Robot running away and leading you on through a linear zone = boss arena/fight... But I did not expect that.

That's what I have, that card is garbage anymore. :( Newer games look like muddy PS2 ports that run at 20 FPS, even though the card is capable of decent graphics. I don't get it.

Get the FAR mod if you haven't already, tc. It'll improve the performance a lot.

Keep in mind its one of those games where you have to read manga, books and novellas to get the whole story.

Oh man, I remember reading some Nier Automata thing where Pod 153 was trying to fish all the fish out of the ocean and drive them to extinction so that 9S wouldn't eat one and die and Pod 042 was like "I believe that's called overprotectiveness" and it was adorable.

I think that happened to a lot of people. Platinum fans picked it up, but the combat system isn't really as deep or challenging as their other games, so they ended up unhappy with Nier. That's fine and it's just a matter of people looking for different things in their games.

I'm playing through it too. Just did the *earlyish location spoilers* Forest Castle area so far. I like it so far. Side quests and open world haven't really been too great so far though. Music is damn great. I love this certain cheery little tune you'll hear soon TC.

I know the games appeal doesn't really hit you until the later endings so I'm hoping that lives up to the hype.
