So I've hated Kaep from the day he took the job from Smith (who would have won a superbowl) and swore I wouldn't root for the niners til Harbaugh and Kaep were gone.

fans had nothing to do with jim "leaving", York had 150% of the reason.

It was. But the "fans" who were actually okay with it (which were very, very few) and provided justification and a fallback for York certainly didn't help in the slightest.

The comment section is spot on for that article. Absolutely destroyed the author.

I mean the author is comparing a flash-in-the-pan and controversial QB who can't make more than one read, to an all-time great QB who never had a controversy surrounding him until his 17th season in the league. Wow.

Then there were the concerns about Kaepernick’s diet, which were articulated even as folks were marveling at Tom Brady’s avocado ice cream obsession, with no fear that he may be missing out on the protein and nutrients necessary to thrive on a football field by not scarfing down steaks and burgers and ribs and other assorted man meats.

Let's not pretend that Kaep deserves to even be mentioned in the same sentence as Tom Brady. Brady can go on a McDonald's diet if he wants. Who's going to say shit to him?

Seems like you're the one who can't read. He writes that hes not comparing their accolades, but their circumstances. People thought manning literally couldn't throw anymore and teams were still jumping to take him, yet teams like the broncos, who were interested in Kaepernick before this previous season where he put up decent numbers, suddenly don't even wanna make a phone call? The Jets going with a broken Luke mccwon without giving him a call? Ok

I sure don't call amateurs "legit" because they have a blog. But I'm also not the one trying to call a qb who struggles to get 200 yards having a good year either.

You didn't answer it because it shows how badly you're trolling.

The Jets going with a broken Luke mccwon without giving him a call? Ok

Like I said, they're comparing Peyton's situation with Kaepernick's, and they're not even comparable. Manning was a first ballot hall of famer who never had a great arm anyway, and who had zero controversy around him. Kaepernick hasn't had success since his QB guru coach left and has tons of controversy around him.

Kaepernick was 26th in completion percentage and 24th in yards per attempt, both worse than Trevor Siemian. Sure he had a nice TD-INT ratio but how much of that was in garbage time? I can tell you that in the one game I watched him play, he exhibited some of the worst quarterback play I've ever seen against the Bears. Literally benched for Blaine fucking Gabbert and outperformed by Matt fucking Barkley. Wow.

Chip Kelly's system led Nick fucking Foles to a 27-2 TD-INT ratio, and he's a backup now. Kaepernick was 17th in passer rating, behind the likes of Alex Smith, whose replacement was just drafted when the Chiefs traded UP to draft Pat Mahomes. This myth that Kaepernick had good numbers and played well this past year needs to stop. He was literally below average last year, and a gimmick system combined with garbage time allowed him to have an inflated TD-INT ratio.

As for the Jets and Browns, sure, he would be the best QB on their roster. But those teams are trying to intentionally tank this year, which is painfully obvious to anyone who watches football. Signing him would be counterproductive, because it would win them a game or two more than whatever junk they already have on their roster, fucking up their draft position.

Bottom line, he was NOT good last year. He was below average. Much closer to bad than good. When you combine that with the controversy surrounding him, it's obvious why nobody wants him. People need to stop comparing him to hall of fame QBs (I've already seen Brady and Manning in this topic, lmfao). A better comparison is Tebow. Both are QBs who saw very limited success and who are good enough to be backup QBs on some teams, but the distractions (plus having to tweak their offenses to cater to mobile QBs who can't throw) makes it so teams don't want them. Teams don't want him because he is below average and controversial. Why deal with that for a backup QB?

Side note: Remember when people claimed that Kaepernick wasn't just kneeling for attention, and that he really did want to make a difference? Then conveniently right when he becomes a free agent, he says he won't kneel anymore, saying he actually thought there was enough change in society to quit kneeling? HAHAHA, what a joke. Literal Donald Trump has taken office since then. Race relations are worse than they've ever been. "But I swear guys, I wasn't just doing it for attention!" That alone would make me not want to sign the guy. Fucking fake ass person who can't even man up and continue standing for something he supposedly believes in, or at least admit he did it for attention.

Are you like incapable of reading or something? Directly from the article:

Harbaugh appeared on a podcast hosted by Tim Kawakami of the San Jose Mercury News on Friday (*links to podcast*), and talked quite a bit about his exit from the team.

On the podcast, Harbaugh says that he didn't leave the 49ers, but that the 49ers hierarchy left him. He then went on to say that the "mutual parting of ways" was only mutual in that Harbaugh didn't want to put the team in a bad spot by trying to fight with them.

Harbaugh confirmed that he was told he was out after the Week 15 loss to the Seattle Seahawks

The separation was only "mutual" from a legal/technical perspective. They were unable to agree to a contract extension, Harbaugh was then "pushed out" and everyone knows it.

Saving face...? You realize this claim makes the 49ers franchise look WORSE, right? They didn't want one of the best coaches in the NFL, and since they got rid of him, they've been a bottom of the barrel team. If they made any effort to retain him, he would probably still be with the team.

This a GSYBE alt, isn't it? Literally no one else is capable of this level of ignorance and simultaneous insistence on being right.

Are you just going to start listing all of the people that school you on a regular basis?

It's almost incredible that FrisbeeDude is no long the most ignorant poster in this thread. It's one thing for this Amputation clown to be wrong, it's an entirely other thing to obnoxiously maintain you're right when you don't even educate yourself or read properly after someone literally posts a source for you.

I mean the article literally sources the podcast interview where Harbaugh said that. There's no excuse for Amputation other than him not clicking the link and/or being incapable of reading. It amazes me how just plain stupid some people can be.

Holy shit, that blog post from ninersnation is so fucking stupid that the source material for the opinion piece wasn't even listened to by the author. Lol

"Harbaugh appeared on a podcast hosted by Tim Kawakami of the San Jose Mercury News on Friday, and talked quite a bit about his exit from the team. I haven't had a chance to listen to the full thing just yet"

..then don't fuck report/opine about it

"From what I've heard, it's a fascinating interview" he goes on to say

Lol, so dumb

I read it last night when you posted it, my brilliant friend

Does believing I didn't read it make you feel better about posting terrible reporting?

Best quote from the article: "From what I've heard, it's a fascinating interview"

http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/12323022/jim-harbaugh-says-split-san-francisco-49ers-was-not-mutual

"I was told I wouldn't be the coach anymore," Harbaugh said. "And then ... you can call it 'mutual,' I mean, I wasn't going to put the 49ers in the position to have a coach that they didn't want anymore.

"But that's the truth of it. I didn't leave the 49ers. I felt like the 49er hierarchy left me."

To Harbaugh's recollection, the Niners informed him that he wouldn't be coming back on the Monday after the team's Dec. 14 loss at Seattle. Instead of leaving then, Harbaugh said he wanted to coach the final two games out of a desire to finish what he started.

http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2015/2/13/8036541/jim-harbaugh-49ers-fired-jed-york-michigan

Former San Francisco 49ers, and current Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh said Friday that the only thing mutual about his departure from San Francisco was the fact that he didn't fight the decision. Harbaugh, on a podcast with Tim Kawakami of the San Jose Mercury News, talked about his exit from the NFL, which the 49ers claimed was a mutual parting of ways following the conclusion of the team's 8-8 season.

"I didn't leave the 49ers. The 49ers hierarchy left me," Harbaugh said during the 30-minute interview. He said that he didn't want to put the 49ers in a bad spot, which is why the parting of ways was technically mutual. He also went on to confirm that he was told that he would be let go at the end of the season following a loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 15.

Snip

Why bother? You could link to a personalized YouTube video of Jim Harbaugh directly addressing this topic and saying that he was indeed fired, and Amputation still wouldn't believe it.

http://grantland.com/the-triangle/would-jim-harbaugh-really-leave-the-49ers-for-michigan/

(One of many articles about this) Date: 9/26/14

"Termination": 12/14/14

Face it, Harbaugh is being nice and not trying to rock the boat with the 49ers, but he chose Michigan before his job at the 49ers was expired. Everybody knows it
