I got this game on sale a while back, remember playing it for a bit only to get really annoyed with it and disappointed and then quickly deleted it and forgot about it.

Thought I would play it again today for some reason, and the only thing I did was complain about the experience the entire time, lol. I mean it's a beautiful game and I love the Mad Max theme but the gameplay is just awful in this. First off everything about the on-foot action is just laughably poor. Everything is very animation dependent, my character can't really cross any terrain or do anything too agile, and the fighting feel like it is taken straight out of the Batman games, but not in a good way, in button mashing wait for the on-screen-prompts kinda way.

It works in Batman because Batman is a freakin badass super hero who is agile and can fly all over the place, but in Mad Max you are just a man... a man with a knee brace and some really annoying dependency on having to animate everything in a slow and ponderous way. This game is just a bad waste of time that only a total fanboy of the source material could love.

I enjoyed it. It does get repetitive, though. Solid purchase at 6 bucks.

Lol at $6 that's about right. It's pretty weak for a AAA release, feels like they spent all their time making it look pretty and forgot to make it fun.

No. I'll give you the on foot parts being meh, but the car combat and stuff, aka 80% of the game, is pretty fun.

80%? Felt more like 60% to me, there was way too much emphasis on the on-foot parts of the game.
