Since the Wii U board is slow,

I'm currently unable to play two games (Super Mario Maker and Minecraft Wii U) due to it saying the update data is corrupted. Gone through the system settings and deleted the bad update and tried to redownload several times and getting the same error code (105-3865). I think it's the Wii U's HDD since I'm not using any external and was wondering if anyone has had a similar problem and if getting an external hdd would fix the issue.

Also my Splatoon game is crashing within 5 seconds of starting up and forces me to do a hard reset. Other games seem to be working and saving and was able to play Smash Bros online.

Any advice, tips, or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
