So let me get this straight. You rather take the chance of having the delivery date being pushed back past release date and/or waiting for your game to be delivered around noon when instead you can just drive to the nearest electronic store and buy the game on release date as early as 9 or 10 AM.

I don't think that's the worst concern someone should have when pre-ordering games in this day and age.

Also, the local store isn't going to give me 20% off the new title.

I work during the day so I'm not worried about a game reaching me before 530 pm. If it doesn't get to me that day, that's okay. I'll play it the next.

That's not even the worst part. Preorderers, along with day one buyers, literally pay triple to quadruple for the game.

I giess even.if they're still getting ripped off, at least preorderers sometimes get a discount or the DLC that everyone else will have to wait for.

I have a job so it's actually much more convenient for me to get home from work and have the game waiting at home for me

This. I've only preordered from Amazon like 3 times though. Too often games don't live up to the hype so I wait until the actual release day to see impressions before I make the jump to buying it.

I think most people who preorder do it for the bonus stuff you get from doing so. That's the only reason I can see to do it.

Or you know, some people actually want to support games they're most interested in during the time period sales matter most.

I'd be happy if it comes Tuesday, but I can't be too mad if I get it Wednesday.

o rly? Good to know.
At any rate, even big name AAA studio games can be released running like garbage or with very unsatisfying gameplay so that's why I recommend against pre-ordering in general.

Just pre-ordered a game from best buy, with 20% off, and can pick it up the day it comes out. Best of both options, right?
